I'm working on Tech Charts for the Bally 6803 games.
The manuals files have a lot of info, but some is missing completely.
Like which coils are used in various locations.
Some manual / schematics are unreadable, but these I've got send to me in paper form.

Now for the help part...
I can use your help with the used coils on the various games.
I haven't looked at all the schematics jet, but I'm working my way up from Eight Ball Champ to Atlantis.

Right now I'm working on Motordome.
Can anyone help me fill in the blanks?

Peter

I've made this file on the run, but there is some more coil information in the manual.
I just could not recognize the code numbers for the coils.
Together with Atlantis this is one of the last games made this style boards.
Even the manual is begining to look like the newer style of Williams.
Please fill in tyhe blanks...

I did notice this manual page.
The emphasis is on "most".
And yes, this information is processed in the list I've made.
What I need are the type of coils, which is not in the manual.
Just like Thrillhouse posted.

Got it. The rest of the info regarding coil types is in the parts manual. Do you have a page made for SS that I can complete for you?

I suppose you mean Strange Science and not Scared Stiff?
Strange Science is complete (so far).
I've made a list of the games in the first post and which ones are done for now.
I've put an asterix in front of the game name and added ", done".

Yes I did mean the original SS Didn't realize it was complete, keep up the good work! I feel like 6803 games don't get enough love.

I have Party Animal and can help out, although my upper right kickout solenoid has been replaced and not labeled.

#19 6 years ago

So....you do know that there is a game manual and a parts manual right? At least for D&D there is. The parts manual is what lists the coils and other assembly

I'll send you a message and an image as soon as I'm back from vacation. I only have mobile internet right now. Thanks for willing to help. You can collect all the type of coils right now.

Thank you very much.
6 more games to go....

#28 6 years ago

@metalkatt,
Can you please check one more thing for me?
In the manual there is a Solenoid Expander relay.
One side (normaly closed) goes to the Bright Lights and the outhole & knocker.
Which color is this wire? (in the right side red cirkel)
The other side (normaly open) goes to all the other coils.
Which color is that wire? (in the left side red cirkel)

I believe the open wire is yellow/red stripe
and closed is red/black stripe.

I included pictures of it for you.

Excelent!
In the schematic you can also see the Red-Black wire as supply to the relay.
Man, I hate those crummy, unreadable scans....
Thanks for helping out.

Hello you all,

Can someone please help me sort out a few little things for Truck Stop?
There are four lamps in the schematic and the lamp list that do not match with each other.

It is about the following lamps:
Q44 J10-12 I-Ramp Diamond 32 Yel-Blu
Q44 J10-12 Outlane Left 32 Yel-Blu
And...
Q59 J10-14 I-Ramp Letter 37 Yel-Orn
Q59 J10-14 Target Right 37 Yel-Orn

In the manual the one is at the other and vise virsa.
Could you please check the actual wiring for each lamp?
It would also be great to know on which pin of J10 each wire goes to.

Thank for your help,
Peter

The files are comming along nicely.
Editing some errors along the way.
Adding some pictures to personalise the Tech Chart.
It will be nice to add a lot of them at the end of the month.
Progressing up to Party Animal at the moment....
Still can use some help with the Truck Stop problem though.

#37 6 years ago

Thanks to everyone who helped me out.
The new Tech Chart files are on my website.
Last two (Truck Stop & Atlantis) are still a work-in-progress.
