I have a barn find MotorDome I'm working on. These 6803 games are definitely a project. You got lucky that it booted on the first try. I'm guessing there is residual battery damage around the chip sockets. First thing to do with a game like this is to unplug everything and inspect the power supply. Once you verify the voltages are correct then connect the MPU and start troubleshooting.
