It looks like the pads in the glass alternate the side of the slot in the glass that they are on.
I was thinking of desoldering the legs from the board, then somehow try to insert them one by one into the glass. The only problem is the legs have an expanding springy thing on the end, that makes it difficult to insert.
Drilling should not work, though I never tested that.
What you need is a milling cutter with diamants special for glass; I did that, but only for 1 leg.
