Using PinWiki I changed out Q2 and Q8 supporting transistors along with the IC as I had some handy laying around. None of this made a difference. I even moved the display to another spot and the problem moved with the display. This should be cut and dry but I must be missing something. Any ideas?

Out gassed, it's not coming back

Usually if you're missing only a digit, check the 100k resistor for that one. Likely it will be out of spec, as in much higher than the other 100k resistors on the board.

Which one?

I got enuff for them all

They are close to the glass display. I don't have a drawing with me. Just use your ohmmeter to test all the resistors in that row. You can compare the same resistor colors to the other ones.

That was it!!! Your the best PinballManiac40!

Which resistor location was it for this 10th digit?

Truthfully, I don't know. I had the resistors, so I just replaced them all for a few cents out of pocket.

You would be looking for R3.
The 100K resistors are known to fail or go out of spec.
Always check R1, R3, R5, R7, R9 and R11 when digits are missing.

The 6 resistors are placed in two groups of 3 (in the red circles).

If there is still light in the other digits, the glass is still good.

Definitely the info I was hoping to get added for anyone else looking for the solution.

Post 7 was reported as problem solved.
