Hi guys. Tdiddy recently got a paragon, but his sound wasn't working. I took the u3 ROM (729-51) from his board and replaced it with one from a working Star Trek (729-18). His then worked fine, or close enough to fine. I've been trying to repair the donor board. I took an unknown condition 729-18-32 board's u3 and tried that. No joy. It plays one monotonous tone, instead of varying up and down. So the sounds have correct sustain and rhythm, but not pitch. It does this even with the u3 chip removed. So I'm assuming both Tdiddy's u3 and the donor board's u3 are bad. Does anyone burn these puppies anymore? I know k's arcade sells an adapter, but since tdiddy's paying for all the parts, I'm trying to go cheaper.

I can sure burn them. But how much does the adapter cost?

Ooo, I like your stuff. I didn't know anyone made cheap tester stuff. Why is it I'm just hearing of these now? I can totally convince my bosses to buy a tester if it's only 10 bux. That way I don't have to mess with breadboards.
