The Simpsons Pinball Party
Stern, 2003Have had The Simpsons Pinball Party machine for well over 12 months and recently the balls have been ejecting from the ball trough by themselves, thus having multiple balls in play at a time and ending up with ALOT of extra balls per game. Am hoping someone might have had this problem and rectified it or can at least point me in the right direction to fix this annoying problem. Thanks in advance!
Ball trough plugs. Or a bad opto.
Remove all the balls. Go into switch test and drop the balls in one at a time and see if they all register. In switch test
Try reseating the plugs on the trough boards.
If that doesn't do it. Check your other optos in switch test.
While erak is probably correct, make sure that you have exactly five balls installed in the game. Whitestar games are famous for adding balls during play if there are to many or to few in the trough as it confuses the MPU.
