Stern, 2003So, both my sterns, (tspp and t3) look for the balls on power up. Tspp also adds a ball when you get up to the living room. I think its opto problems on both. Am I correct? Which ones would I need? (There are a few options on PBL)

I had the same problem on my met. It was the connector on the trough opto boards. I reseated connector and all if fine. I also brought boards but have not had to use them.
I would check these first before buying boards, if you haven't already done so...

Yes, definitely reseat those connectors first. I shoulda said that. Thanks for the correction.
