I am working on a 1972 Gottlieb Grand Slam and have an issue with the ball return kick out mechanism. It appears that the kicker is too strong so that when the ball is kicked out it strikes the underside of the apron and goes back to the kick out hole. It takes sometimes as many as 5 to 10 times before the ball finally makes its way to the shooter lane. I have the game high tapped and I am wondering if this might be causing the issue. Has anyone else seen anything similar. I have had similar problems on other high tapped machines. Also, anyone have any ideas on how I might solve this problem?

Thanks in advance for any assistance from all of you experts out there!

Here are some ideas:

(I'd put it back on normal tap too, but that's just me...)

I inadvertently put this post in the wrong forum. How do I change it to EM tech?
