Every time I think I got this Miss-O close to working - something else goes wrong ugh. I transported it in a van and now it wont advance to the next ball. It resets from game over to ball 1 fine... but wont go to ball 2. It was working before the van and also I just cleaned the ball count unit so it isn't sticking. I can manually advance the ball # with the ball count su unit. The outhole relay is doing its thing. The score motor goes. I looked at the contacts score motor 1 and don't see a problem.

Anything thoughts out there?

This Miss-O seems a bit haunted with little things that just don't work on occasion. Like occasionally the score reels don't reset to 0000 and will start a new game at like 0404 or something weird like that. Sometimes the advance su unit resets and sometimes it doesn't (I cleaned this unit as well).

I would guess that your ball-count Unit stepper is not advancing.

First, I suggest you go into the machine and find the ball-count unit and check to see if you can manually advance and reset the unit and that no wires to the step-up solenoid are broken off.

If the unit appears to be moving ok, then check area 7C-7G on the schematic for the circuit that pulses the step-up solenoid.
Shown here: http://mirror2.ipdb.org/files/1612/Williams_1969_Miss_O_Schematic_Diagram_continuous.pdf

There are 4 switches that need to conduct simultaneously for a pulse to reach the step-up solenoid.
There should be a normally-open (NO) part of a make/break switch at motor position 2A, followed by a normally closed (NC) switch on the extra ball relay, a NO switch on the ball index relay, and finally a NO switch on the outhole relay.

Try cleaning and inspecting each switch for proper operation. The schematic will tell you the wire colors to each switch so that you can isolate the switch of concern on each relay.

Also check your Ball Index Relay Lock at SM 3B.

Amazing - it was one tiny gap in the extra ball relay. I thought I checked it and it was fine. Thanks or helping to focus me back on the circuit.
