Good afternoon,
My awesome original MM has developed a strange issue. When you turn the game on and start a new game everything appears to be working. The odd thing that developed it that the first 5-7 games the ball lock door does not register at all. The castle draw bridge goes down and gate goes up leaving for one more ball to destroy the castle but it goes in and the solenoid ejects it out the left side. The other is the small castle door lock. When through the door the animation of ball smashing through shows, then ball two shows other ball smashing through and on third the awesome animation plays starting Multi-ball. Normally you get three balls though the door and get multi-ball started after the cool graphic on DMD. (looks awesome with my ColorDMD). Until the game warms up (seriously I am in freakin' Arizona, nothing is cold) these two features do not work at all and them magically it works and works every time in every game until you are done playing. I just had a thought to see if once it warms up I shut down and power back up and see if it works instantly.

Has anyone ever had this issue. It drives me nuts because I do a layup on the dragon ramp and then nail the ball lock shot and poof ejects with no credit.

Thanks,
Dave

I'd try a factory reset, to see if garbage in memory is an issue. Before digging into boards.

Sounds like your castle lock microswitch needs adjusting or replacement. Is the game getting a credit dot?

Get into switch edges test and test the lock switch. With your fingers and a ball. Also check the moat switches.
