Hi All,

I have started having an issue with my Jurassic Park pin. The ball is occasionally getting stuck under/between a pop-up bumper and ramp. I have attached a diagram to show the location and a picture of a stuck ball. I have adjusted the leaf string to be as sensitive as I can make it. The post seems to be lined up in the spoon. I have not taken the pop-up bumper apart but, cannot see any obvious breaks. Do I need to rebuild the pop-up bumper? I have not taken the pop-up bumper apart but, cannot see any obvious breaks.

I am still fairly new to repairing pins so any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Phil

It looks like there is a problem with the pop bumper switch.
On that position, definitely should activate the solenoid - but it`s not.
You should check that switch, replace it and adjust it - to be much more sensitive.

Thanks, just ordered a new switch.

You shouldn't have to replace the switch. With the machine on and in play, use a ball and touch it to the skirt at all positions it can touch. The switch should fire. If it doesn't, you need to adjust the switch. Either make it more sensitive/close the gap, or adjust the position of the nub in the spoon.

You might also want to try putting a wider post in that spot. Maybe a star post or a different kind of post rubber.

Thank you for your input SealClubber. I'll give this try before replacing the switch.
