    Hi all,
Working on plasti-dipping my ball lift metal today. I've got a 1966 United's Amazon here. I'd like to remove the chain section from the track and wheel.

I'm thinking I loosen up the motor (right side) some so as to gain slack and remove the top part of the chain (left side).

Sound about right, or am I making this harder than it needs to be?

    Thanks.

Well, no timely responses, so the chain is off as per motor removal.

    Thanks for the replies.

Mopar, I love my plasti-dip! The extra work not so much. I didn't even realize there was an adjuster, but it certainly makes sense.

T2F14: Do you mean removing the motor, or using the chain adjustment?

I've actually seen that site before. Totally forgot about it, of course. I don't see mention of the adjuster, but that's fine, I'll figure it out now that I know where to look.

    Quoted from Mopar:

Yea, that's good stuff. I have some in one of the cabinets.
I used it last on the puck return catch on one of the Target Shuffles.
I have many projects (besides a barn full of pinball and em arcades)
so I did the quick fix with the rubber hose, but like Chicago Coin, I believe
United also has a master link in the chain but can't 100% remember..

You know, I was going to email you instead of posting about the chain, but thought I'd give you a break. Picked the wrong occasion I guess! Thanks for the tip. I'll look into it when reattaching everything.
