Hi there,

This may be a really basic question, but I have a Fish Tales that is having problems with all of the solenoids on the same wire (purple). I noticed some suspicious duct tape on said shooter coil and it looks a bit toasty. If the solenoid is out, would that cause all solenoids on this wire to not work? I know that the ball shooter is solenoid #1. Should I attempt to bypass the shooter and test the other solenoids? Just buy a new coil? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

There's a fuse.

In general, no. The power wire is daisy-chained from one solenoid to another. If the two purple wires are not connected together then any solenoids after that point would not work.

Which specific coils are not working and have you looked under the duct tape to see what's going on?

A photo of would be great, and check fuses as wellarmed said.

It appears to be a fuse. For once, the issue described as "probably a fuse" was actually a fuse. Thanks for the guidance wellarmed and terryb. I'll let you know if I continue to have problems after replacing.
