Plunger sticks up into the ball trough assembly coil. Is this a bad coil or something else ? I am just learning to do fixes and don’t want to put a new coil in if I don’t need to .

Does it move through it's range of motion freely with the power off? Or does it have some resistance in part of its travel?

VUK kickers use a special flanged coil sleeve where there is more sleeve past the flange, not just the flange on the very end. Sometimes, people replace it with the wrong type which allows the plunger to drag on the metal mounting bracket. Do you see nylon sleeve extending past both the top and bottom mounting brackets?

There is sleeve past both top and bottom. Just can't understand why it just does it once in awhile
