    Quoted from PinNickleby:

Thanks everyone for confirming what I was thinking I would need to do. This would have been the last step in my cleaning, installing new rubbers and converting to leds. I've had the machine for about 10 years now.
The good....none of the 555 incandescent bulbs are bad under the marquees.
The bad....nobody else is around to help with the playfield removal due to covid. I'll live with that section not being converted to leds for now.

    On tight wegde base sockets,

There is a square nub on them to use a small crescent wrench, 4" wrench.

Set the wrench gap on another one somewhere in the game.

    They loosen counter clockwise.

You can do it blind. They stick from age.

It doesnt hurt them to apply a little force.

If one breaks due to age brittleness they are easy to get.

Reinstallation can be done by hand usually.
