I found an interesting video on YouTube the other day. A gentleman modified a 1970 William's Straight Flush to play backwards: Backward tilting playfield, backwards scoring, everything. Even the plunger operates in reverse. It's super creative, and a really awesome repurposing of an old game. Kudos to the man who created it!

Here's the video:

Wow, This looks like fun to play (and to build)

Norm Clark is rolling over in his grave. Then again, maybe he's smiling as one of his games has been saved and will be played more with the rebuild and modifications.

Some people have way too much time on their hands.

But seriously, looks pretty cool.

Not sure if it improved the game though. The reverse flippers would do my head in more than anything. I think he should have activated them with the same side flipper buttons.

Wow! that is pretty crazy. Would be fun to play.

He needs to bring it to some pinball shows. Looks great!

No kidding - that's pretty cool.

I like his modded bumper caps as well - neat addition to any EM game for a little more punch (or if you can't find the correct caps to replace (e.g. the fluorescent pink and green from the Jubilee I just finished).

I like it!!

Cool & crazy, amazing what some pinheads can do. I can only imagine the thoughtprocess that went into this, takes some skill to mod a pin like that

#11 4 years ago

That is really creative and amazing. Looks really nice too.

Playfield is interesting. The low score wins seems like he is trying to be different just for the sake of being different though.

Just cross your arms!

Only thing left to do is make it give you a dime every time you play

I wish to purchase this machine

I was wondering when somebody would do this. Looks like it could be another event in the pin olympics.

That was interesting to watch. Thanks for posting!

Very creative very nice looking. The reverse scoring could have been a video in itself. I don't think the swapped flipper buttons was something I would have done but I guess you could get the hang of it. Just don't go playing a normal game right after.

Would be fun to get hit with an air ball playing with the glass off.
