It seems like it would be fairly easy to help prevent paint from delaminating from backglasses by (very slightly) texturing the painted side of the glass before paint is applied to give it "grip." The texture would be effectively unnoticeable because each tiny indentation would be filled with paint.

Would this be possible? If so, would it actually improve backglasses?

Delamination is caused by temperature differences in the ink and glass - one expands/contracts at a different rate than the other.

Using triple thick is generally the accepted practice for halting flaking and delamination

Some folks have use superglue to stick pieces paint back onto the glass as well.

I understand what causes delamination. I simply thought that better grip might make the backglass slightly more resilient.

I was wondering about doing this on newly-produced backglasses, not repairing them. I'm not sure it's repair to remove all of the paint, texture the glass, then repaint it.

I was wondering if the idea of giving a surface a rougher texture before painting it would apply to a backglass out of curiosity.
