On my White Water the backglass is very hard to get in and out. It starts very smoothly but when I want to lower it into the speaker panel I have to use quite some force. It took a while to figure out what was wrong but it seems that the two wooden vertical supports are about 7mm or 1/4 inch too far forward.
So you basically need to bend the backglass to go in the upper and lower slots.
I'm not quite sure how to solve this. I could try to chisel the front part of the supports off but I'm not sure that would look very nice. Maybe I can remove the supports and then place them a little further back. But how do I get them off? They seem to be held in place by three staples but maybe also glue.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Quoted from cottonm4:

How does the glass fit if you remove the speaker panel and try to fit in the upper slot only? Is that a tight fit, as well?
Or does the problem only exist when you try to fit the glass to the speaker panel slot?
I can see the speaker panel slot is setting too far back.

Quoted from chad:

As Cottonm4 mentioned, your panel sits back too far. Can you be the 2 brackets to accommodate more room.?

I tried fitting the backglass without the speaker panel but that doesn't work either. The speaker panel would have to be about an inch forward for everything to fit.
When the glass is in the top slot and touches the vertical supports it touches them at the top and is quite a bit off the lower part of them.
The glass isn't warped either. Very strange.

So yesterday I decided to take the plunge and remove the vertical supports. It went pretty easy but as the supports are made of mdf they did leave a bit of wood behind that needed to be taken off. I reverenced my Roadshow and put the supports back with some black screws. The backglass now goes in and out very smoothly. Thanks everybody for taking a look at it for me!

Btw, I moved them back about 3 or 4mm.
