I guess I fall into the camp of "happy to have an option". I ordered 3 glasses from Steve last year and went through some of the same delays some of you guys mentioned. These were glasses he'd already done before so I assumed they would be quicker. My only real complaint was the lack of response and the false completion dates. Happy to hear Steve is going to try and remedy that.

In the end I turned around and sent him two more right after that first order. Some extremely rare glasses that need restoration (Williams SKYWAY and ARMY-NAVY) and he will likely never have another customer for. I'm very appreciative to Steve for taking these projects on and not gouging me big dollars for the extra work or limited demand of the glasses. I would've expected to pay a LOT more for something that required drawing from scratch and recreation of missing art, but that was not the case.

Personally I just feel bad calling him up on his personal phone. As long I can get the occasional email or text with a status update I'm happy to wait.

    Quoted from PinballFever:

Thanks. I asked because I remember he was doing them on plexi. Has this changed and are his screened glasses better than before or do you still need to use LED lights for them to look right?
    Bruce

They're not screened. He uses some sort of digital printing technique.
The masking layer on the back looks very different, but the effect from the front is pretty much the same.
I saw a lot of Steve's work on Clay's machines at the VFW show and was very impressed.

    Quoted from PinballFever:

Same. I'd rather have my glass scanned locally and sent Steve the digital file than send the glass itself Is this possible?
    Bruce

    Hey Guys,
I tried to do this for my Williams SKYWAY and ARMY NAVY.
I have a pretty decent scanner and created good quality scans of front and back and Steve was still unable to use them.

In terms of rarity, I would guess there are somewhere between 3-5 surviving SKYWAY left on the planet, so my glass was right up there on the unobtainium scale. Luckily I had friends that were traveling to Expo last October and passing through Michigan so they hand delivered my glasses to Steve.

Got my glasses from BGresto about a week ago.
They took a few months but that's to be expected.

I especially appreciate that Steve was willing to take on such rare titles as my Williams SKYWAY and ARMY NAVY (which he will likely never sell another copy of) and didn't rake me over the coals on pricing at all.

These machines would never stand a chance of returning to their former glory otherwise.
