Hi, a friend of mine recently picked up a Gottlieb Hollywood Heat. The strange thing is it actually has a painted translight. It was supposidly done by someone at "Optimus"
Does anyone know who's signature that is? It is actually painted on the glass and is extremely well done.

Hey you know ninjedi! I saw his latest acquisition over on MAACA. Sorry, don't know the artist, but it looks pretty decent.

Yeah, he lives a few blocks away from me.

The art style looks really familiar, specially the writing of "enjoy" I have seen that style on some other pins but I can't figure out who this is?

I can't help, but wow, that is so much better than the original translite. Gives the machine a whole different look and theme.

I agree, the artist did a great job with that backglass. It matches the look of the playfield perfectly, and it's certainly better than staring at that Don Johnson wannabe on the original translite.

It looks pretty bad with the light on behind it. You can see all the brush strokes and the colours change quite a bit. I'll upload a picture. Currently I have it front lit, which works great as it was just a single illuminated backbox.

I am going to see if I can get it scanned and made into a real translite. And recommendations on translite printing would be great.

I will definately help you out with that. I know a great place in Hamilton, and they are reasonably priced. I will talk to you about it later. C U.

I sent an email to someone who might know who painted it, I hope I hear back.
