Backglass (kinda) Restore Question

    I was debating on putting this in the off topic section since it's not a pinball backglass.

    This is somewhat like a pinball backglass.... it's a old shoe bubbler sign guessing from the 1940s. As you can see there is quite a bit of paint missing.

    Would someone have ideas on how to go about doing this type of repair? Thanks very much.

    Not an expert (or even remotely close to one) but given the paint condition it might be easier to make a repro or remove all the paint and make some silk screens to redo it. If you dont care about perfection, you could seal in the paint with a few coats of triple thick and then touch up the glass with new paint after. Any fine details would be very hard though.
