I just got finished screening the warning text into my Backbox this morning it was my first one and probably the only one I will do. I did a few practice runs on a piece of plywood until I got it perfect. So I got the screen all ready prepped put it on the Backbox screen it and thought it was perfect. I look at the bottom text and see it didn't get all of the text for a few letter see pic below. What would you guys do if you were me would you go through the effor of sanding and repainting again just to fix that and do you know what went wrong not enough ink or not enough pressure on the squeegee

I'd leave it, but I'm 97% sure you're going to redo it. You failed to mention which game

    #3 8 years ago

I'm anal so I would redo it personally. In the grand scheme, its fine. 99.9% fine. Looks like inconsistent pressure. Where it skipped horizontally, the print transferred fine before it so I don't think ink quantity was the issue.

It's for a terminator 2 I know not high on everybody's desirable game list. I have been going back and forth all day deciding whether to sand it down and redo it. It drives me crazy because I put so much time in already

    #5 8 years ago

I would leave it alone, I'm pretty sure the factory wasn't perfect.

Do it. If not now, at least put it on your "when I get a chance" list - that'll take the edge off of some of the crazy. You already put the effort into it once, and it'll bug you forever knowing it's there.

lol, you've probably spent more time dithering than if you'd just gone ahead and redone it. Looks like you might've picked up the squeegee a hair too soon...

Hey, OP! I forgot to tell you I actually went and got one of these myself. Your PM swayed me. (Thanks, by the way!)

Now I'm even more nervous about doing it after seeing your post. But I would personally just leave it. I agree with a previous post - the factory wasn't perfect, and it's the part of the machine that faces the wall. The next time you see it, you'll be selling it to somebody.

And none of us are HEP, so no worries.

Your pic didn't show up when I originally read this thread (I thought you were missing like a half-line of text) - now that I see it, I totally wouldn't bother to do it again. I'm pretty sure that's not even a real language on the bottom, anyway.

But if it does bother you, then yeah, my original thought still holds.

    #10 8 years ago

Thanks guys I am pretty sure I am going to leave it. Won't be able to work o the game for a few weeks anyway so I bet once tht goes by it will stop bothering me it's only going to be facing the wall in my basement anyway. It not like it's a museum piece

    #11 8 years ago

I didn't even see the problem with it until I reread you post. Leave it.

    #12 8 years ago

How about just trying to touch it up? As in by hand w/a fine brush and match the missing text. Just an option if you can't live w/it. : ) I know the feeling!

    #13 8 years ago

I'd leave it. No one will notice if you don't point it out. Looks perfect other than that and ITS ON THE BACK OF THE GAME. You will never see it anyway.

    #14 8 years ago

I used to work at a silk screen place and you let up pressure on that side at the end of the draw. Sometimes it feels like your gonna put the squeege through the screen at the end of the draw. Just leave it, it looks fine.

You could just paint over the last line of text black again.

Nobody would ever notice one line is gone.

    #16 8 years ago

leave it. it's a T2. if it was a monster bash, yeah redo it.

    You would.

    #18 8 years ago

I would leave it. Would not have noticed had you not pointed it out. Hell...it gives it a little character I think.☺

    #19 8 years ago

Since its on the back (in French or whatever) I"d just leave it and call it a job well done.

    #20 8 years ago

Leave it, I don't ever see the back of my games anyway.

    #21 8 years ago

Leave it - screen printing isn't always perfect, I have games from the factory that look worse then that. If it was side cabinet art or something like that I would say fix it, its one of those things you will be the only one it bothers and or notices.

    #22 8 years ago

Leave it and the day you go to sell it,point it out. The buyer will then realize you are as anal retentive as some of us others......" I'll take it at your asking price"

    #23 8 years ago

If all the Italian text was missing, I'd probably never notice, lol.

    #24 8 years ago

Decided to leave it the way it is the restoration continues

    #25 8 years ago

I hope you can sleep tonight! : )

    #26 8 years ago

I would paint from the word "ALL" the cabinet black and the last sentence below black. That would be less noticeable and in a different language, you'll forget about it in no time.

To me, that would make the issue go away with out re-doing it.

    #27 8 years ago

Yeah...but if his luck is like mine, he'll wind up selling it to an Italian who consequently shocks himself because the warning was painted over. God hates me. Shit like that happens to me all the time.

Hahaha don't worry I doubt I will sell it once a game gets in my house it does not leave, hasn't happebed yet.

    #29 8 years ago

Definitely re-do it. It's not that much work.

do you have any idea who can this file and support me?

Thank you very much for your support.

    cheers,
