I am restoring two Williams machines (Gilligan's Island and Black Rose) which will require the removal and reinstallation of the back box rubber edge material.

Any ideas on what adhesive might have been used or could be used?

Plan is to mechanically remove the old adhesive from the wood as well as the rubber edging, rebond and use webbing furniture to hold the rubber edging in place while the adhesive cures.

Thanks
