Are the bolts that connect the head to the lower cabinet installed and snug?

Yes sir they are! There were 2 and there tight in the HS.

Are the bolts the right length? They may be too long.
If you lift on the head does it move up at all even slightly?
Can you shift the head side to side or front to back?
Also make sure you use a good diameter fender washer with the bolts.

    Quoted from dsuperbee:

You may need yo do some gluing and screwing on the head itself.

Jeff, with all you have checked, I would think that this is the issue.

Take the back box off and check all the wood joints on both the back box and cabinet. If joints are loose, glue and optional screw will be needed. If everything looks OK, you may need to add some structural wood supports to eliminate the issue.

If its not a new problem, I'm thinking the head bolt is perhaps a bit too long (1/4 or 1/2 longer). I've seen heads do this as well if the head bolt washer is missing (bolt head moves in the hole).

If you have a shorter bolt laying around or on another machines, its an easy enough thing to try the shorter.

Already posted this and Jeff said his bolts were the right size.

    Quoted from wizzardz:

I couldn't lift the head, but it would wobble with the 1/8 to 1/4 inch slack. I initially took care of the problem by adding additional washers...but that was only temp.

Gotcha, I have had similar issues and it was bolt length and washer related.
