First, a major shout out to MountainDewDude for designing this mod. It replaces the backboard of a playfield (this one is for TZ). I had no idea what to expect, but figure it would be pretty awesome given that it was a mirror with a plug for addressable LEDs coming out the bottom of it. When I connected a pinduino with some demo lighting effects, the results blew me away. He ran a set of addressable LEDs behind the mirror to create an infinity mirror effect. I can't wait to write up some more lighting effects for this and get it installed in my TZ.

Just added in a "sparkle" effect to the pinduino library. Looks awesome in this:

It replaces the backboard/back panel of the playfield (below the DMD, under the backbox).

It qualifies as a real infinity mirror. The front is a one way mirror, then a gap (where the LEDs are located -- one strip that goes around the inside of the frame), then a back mirror. The LEDs inside reflect off the one-way mirror and the back mirror.

Same deal as these things.

Programming your creation was a blast! My external 5V power supply arrived so I can now drive all the pinduino controlled LEDs I have on my TZ. It is looking pretty good.
