Our Back to the Future by Data East will not lock three balls. It locks the first ball as it is supposed to. When the second ball is locked, it will release the first ball instead of holding it until three balls have been locked. We have checked the switches and they all show that they are working. Any suggestions on what may be the cause and how to resolve the problem? BTTF

Right number of balls in the game?

Take all the balls out and enter switch test.

If it has a high-power interlock switch close it. If it's the white peg kind you might be able to pull it out to lock it closed.

Drop one ball into the outhole. It should stage the ball into the trough and reflect a switch closure there. Do all the balls close a trough switch?

Thanks, we will give it a try. Will let you know if it works. The machine definitely has 3 balls as it is supposed to have.
