    Quoted from misterschu:

obviously this thread is a lot of speculation, but just going from the survey TWIP did about dream themes, it could also be Goonies, Big Trouble in Little China, Princess Bride, Beetlejuice, Labyrinth, Blade Runner, Predator or Blues Brothers. All on their dream theme results lists, all movies from the 80s.

BTTF would be ok, but theme seems weak - there are a few obvious objectives but storyline would old get fast.

Now Predator pinball would be my pick of the bunch and might solicit my dollars. As for the proper way to implement fire and smoke ... bring it on.

In spite of Skit-B's fraudulent attempts, Predator theme has legs. So far, Deeproot has said nothing about only wanting to carry family friendly titles. So many good quotes ... Get to the Choppa!

    Quoted from epthegeek:

    Just die hard? How selective.
    Hey You Guys -Goonies
As you wish - Princess bride
    phone home - E.T.
make like a tree and get out of here, BTTF
    Yippie-Ki-Yay! - Die Hard
Be excellent to each other - Bill & Ted.
And I'm sure at least 3 others I'm missing.

Good sleuthing, guess I am outta luck. I was waiting for Jeff to suggest we should .. Get to the Choppa! I’m feel so defeated.

We’ve focused on Munsters and Beatles coming next from Stern for so long, we’ve lost track of Brian Eddy’s theme - Jaws. < — “speculation”

What if it were ready to go and Stern decided to release it next? Maybe Jaws is the title Kaminkow hinted he helped getting the license for Stern to design, build and begin delivering prior to year end? I think Beatles would still release in Jan and Munsters would be moved to Mar, ahead of TPA.

Munsters to go head to head with whatever deeproot brings to TPA. Which helps explain why Eddy Munster is appearing a gamers convention around that time. We know Stern can make any pinball it announces. We’ll learn what Deeproot has to say.

Get Smart would be a better choice than Gilligan’s Island. Maybe not as good as BTTF.

Stallone may be one of the busiest lead actors and he has one stinking pin? 8 Rocky’s, 5 Rambo’s and 3 Expendables. Come on Deeproot, give this man a pin. Ps - I’m pretty sure many of these films occurred in the 80’s

    Rocky begs to differ.
    [quoted image]

That’s the first and last one ... 1 incredibly talented man and 1 pinball machine. Does DM count? I guess it does and Stallone has 2 pins. Another is still needed, but not as badly.

I was considering themes to base the next license pin. Doesn’t matter if it is done by Deeproot, JJP, Stern, American Pinball, Chicago Gaming Co or other. The greatest movie licenses without a pinball machine and filtered by ones I feel would work. In no order - James Bond (don’t like first pin), Mission Impossible, Harry Potter, Planet of the Apes (maybe AP should target this one), Mad Max, Muppets, Hunger Games. I count seven themes, and many would make a dream theme.

Notice we DID NOT SEE - Jaws, Pirates of the Caribbean, Munsters, Oktoberfest, Beatles, Godzilla nor Back to the Future. All of which make excellent themes in spite of the snub. Good thing too, because we should be seeing all of them soonish. Other theme that didn’t make that I wish would happen -> Monty Python & Rambo ...

Trautman: You're not hunting him.... he's hunting you.

John Rambo: They drew first blood, not me.
John Rambo: Don't Push it. ...

Teasle: Whatever possessed God in heaven to make a man like Rambo?
Trautman: God didn't make Rambo.I made him.

    Theme miss of the century:

I plan on eventually converting a demo man to a Holy Grail.

Agree with this ^^^ any form of monty python would be my grail pin. Holy Grail would be the obvious choice and best choice.

    Quoted from Bublehead:

My research shows only one provable common connection between pinheads and that is an affinity for mind altering experiences or substances, whether that be lights, motion, sound, music, adrenaline, weed, beer, hard liquor, wine, meth, or crack... which I think half of Pinside is on half the time.

So pinball is a gateway drug and Pinside is full of degenerates. You sir, are correct and have won the internets.
