I was having the same issue with my BttF, except it was the D target. What appears to be happening is that once the targets drop they aren't making contact on the switch. It could be because the contacts are dirty or the gap between the contacts is too wide and not making contact when the target drops. I would try cleaning the contacts and see if that helps.
You could also make sure the target giving you issues is dropped then move the playfield into the service position. Then take a multimeter and test to see if the contacts are actually making contact when the drop target is down. If not then clean the contacts or try and close the gap between the contacts.
