Doing some cleaning around the house and found that my once VERY nice Kings of Steel BG has suffered some paint lifting. I’m thinking from possible water damage some some small flooding we received.

The lifted area is in big sections. Any chance of saving it? Or is it too far gone? I’ve left the section be and covered it with a piece of cardboard to prevent any more disturbance to it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Mask off the score windows, spray it with krylon triple thick, and cover it with plastic shrink wrap. After it fully dries the plastic wrap will simply peel off. You have a short amount of time to position the paint flakes while its wet under the plastic wrap before it gets tacky. If the paint flakes are loose you may have to mist it so they don't fly away. I only use triple thick in situations similar to this where its needed to preserve whats left and only use it in affected areas.

Thanks for the reply. I have always heard about using the triple thick to preserve, but was unaware it could also be used to "repair/salvage". I will def try that. I found a couple vids with the process.

Going to give it a shot sometime next week. But ill probably practice on an old World Cup glass i have thats pretty bad off.
