Quoted from catboxer:Holy balls, that price. F that.
Agree, the Playfield and the plastics would be almost as much as I paid for the machine. Maybe they will have a year end sale again to make it $600ish.

Joined the club with my new project, overall in decent shape. Playfield has one wear spot by the left flipper, sling shot plastics only have minor flaking the rest are just yellowed, in need to replace the plugs on the boards but it has a new weebly mpu and refurbished videot with the fan mod, sides at least need new art but control panel and bezel look pretty good. He told me the monitor turns on but no picture. Said recapping it should fix it. Looks like it needs a pot or two also.
Can anyone confirm the chassis I have? The tube is a 370KSB22 and the chassis has ecc-14168 on it.

thanks wanted to confirm before I ordered the cap kit.
Anyone know where I can find a k4800 manual? Would love to have a list of capacitors needed instead of buying a marked up kit.
Quoted from gutz:https://www.arcadepartsandrepair.com/store/components/capacitors/wells-gardner-k4800-series-cap-kit-105c/
The time you are going to waste digging through a manual for cap listings, then verifying if the manual is correct versus your chassis, then asking 'what temp should I buy?', 'what lead spacing do I need for each cap?', etc., is not worth saving the $2-3 mark up on a cap kit
Shit I am having a hard time finding a manual to dig through lol
Quoted from gutz:The monitor has hold/sync controls, but the vidiot has a sync pot too. The pots on the vidiot are notoriously crappy (r/g/b, sync, volume) and should be replaced before chasing down monitor issues.
Thanks that helped a lot. I can’t seem to get the distortion out though nothing is effecting it. I have tried the horizontal size but it doesn’t change anything.
DF36012F-D8FE-4202-90F0-83D6C4CC405B (resized).jpegHey Does anyone have a link that lists wires colors for the MPU plugs/pins? The schematics don't seem to include wire colors...
My MPU J2 plug has some wires that are pulled out and I just want to make sure I put them back in the right spot.
Quoted from gutz:4th to last page of the manual.
I didn't see color codes on the 4th to last page. But it was also helpful to confirm Keyed hole and not used hole.
I was able to replace the MPU-J2 connector and the game now completes start up and I can coin up and play a game on the ugly monitor (Still need to Cap it, any preference on kits?) but when I get to the Pinball not much happens. I have confirmed the top fuse was fried. I am also probably going to replace all fuses in the game just to make sure.
Connection Test All Matches.
GI Lights stick on and only 3 of the Arrows flash during lamp test...Pictures below show locked on lamps and the few lamps that work.
Solenoids do nothing...
Most if not all switches work during the switch test. When i start it up, it displays 25 instantly. Is that normal? or should it just be blank? Looks like that is the Right Drop Target #5 which doesn't currently work due to solenoids.
Left Flipper works good but Right flipper doesn't respond.
Thoughts on any or all of these items are appreciated. Gonna keep working on it as I have time.

Okay freshly rebuild monitor / chassis
Clean and bright picture
Rebuilt Vidiot with new colors pots and gets correct Leds and game boots up and plays
Monitor now stays dark
You can hear the monitor power on and yes I’m getting 120v to the monitor
Ideas ??
Could it be the single harness from Vidiot to Monitor is getting a lousy connection ?
If you hit Video test on the videot do you get the test screen?
Try to go into the service menus with the buttons on the coin door.
When you say playing blind, do you mean you can hear the audio and start a game without video?
Or do you mean nothing happens?
