Fish Tales. don't like this one at all. Find it quite boring. Played several different tables and they all worked fine. Just can not get into it. Will only play it if there is nothing better. Don't see why others think this is so great.

    #3 12 years ago

junk yard for me. It's all in the name.

    #4 12 years ago

POTC for me. Some may put that in the A list I obviously would not.

    #5 12 years ago

I gotta go with Rescue 911. Do Not Resuscitate.

    #7 12 years ago

    Revenge from Mars.

It's pretty and all, and I can appreciate the diagnostics, and playfield pullout design and all that.

It is the one pin I've sold that I can sincerely say that I don't miss at all.

    #8 12 years ago

Dr Dude and Gilligans. Its the sounds, I can't take it!

    #9 12 years ago

I didn't believe how truly horrible Popeye Saves The Earth was until I played it.

    #10 12 years ago

Water World, Cue Ball Wizard, Monopoly, Big Buck Hunter, and Avatar to name a few. Total spent playing all 5 machines.........$15. They are crap.

    #11 12 years ago

Oh. Yeah. Popeye DOES suck. (sorry Oliveoil)

I would have to say there are no terds. I just plain love pinball. Anyone who has a terd please send it to me, I will give her all the love she deserves. ALL PINBALL ROCKS!

I don't own any turds. Those get sold as soon as possible. But they surely exist. You just haven't played one yet. Ones that are so ugly, boring and annoying you regret getting a replay because you just want it to end.

Oh yeah, I forgot about BBH and TRS. Those both qualify.
Forgot about South Park too. Way too easy and the humor gets old quick.

    #19 12 years ago

South Park for me is just bad. Yes, I own one. I have know idea how this game holds any value compared to other games better than it. I would take two DE games for it. I know it's a theme game and the causal players will go for it, but the game play is just so bad. My LAH is 100% better than this game and about half the price. Flippers do feel better on this than my DE games. Love the show, but what a waste with the pin. They could have made this a great game like TSPP or Family Guy. Too bad.

Like someone else said, Fish Tales. I have tried to like this game since it came out. I still can not get into it. Great video mode, I will give it that. Maybe I just suck and it makes the game not very fun to play, but just can't find my groove with this one. A great looking game though.

Why do I own games I don't like? Because more games are better that less games. I will take a bad game over no game any day! Long live the silverball.

There is a BBH near me and having played it a bit more (there is no other alternative), I like it a bit better. Therefore I would descripe it as having a slight "wiff of turd" rather than a full blown stench of turd like TRS.

Gilligan's Island is terrible, it's the only pin that i have ever played that hasn't had a single redeeming quality. Rather have minor surgery than play that one again.

Looking at the bottom of my rating list, I would say LW3 stands out as "turdish" to me. Played one in the wild once again a few days ago, and was glad to walk away when the credits ran out.

DW, DM and JD I also avoid going near if at all possible. 24, High Roller Casino and BBH are the horse droppings in the stable of Stern machines as far as I'm concerned.

    #23 12 years ago

The Rolling Stones and South Park for me. Both appallingly bad games. Both could and should have been so much better, TRS awesome soundtrack available, SP incredible variety of speech. Neither made a good impression on me - left 4 credits in TRS as I kept getting replay after replay and I just couldn't play it any more.

Bugs Bunny birthday ball. Love the old Looney Tunes, but can't stand this pin. Not a fan of Demolition man either and it could have the worst backglass of all time.

    Worse than The Shadow??

    #26 12 years ago

Most early 2000's stern was pretty lousy. Austin Powers comes to mind (as well as HRC)...

The only good thing that can be said for HRC is that it's economical to play, since it's so easy. Even my dad could consistently get multiball on it.

    #27 12 years ago

Hey now!! Why does everybody hate The Shadow backglass? There are far worse. If it wasn't for Alec we wouldn't have Pete Schweddy.

So True !!!! make's you wanna Cuss !!!

South Park is a much more fun pin with regards to what it says and such when it's in R-rated mode not PG-rated.

The only pin I played that I never enjoyed much at all was Popeye. This was at a pinball party, so just for fun, I let the guy standing next to me have a turn at it, and I watched him play it. Once he was done, he turned to me and he said "I really don't understand what Williams was thinking when they designed and made this, it's awful". So there were two of us in a row that didn't get it.

It's too bad really, it's a widebody with an upper playfield and some features that could be cool, including a deep ruleset. The target shots that are blocked by the upper playfield are a bad deal, as well as the amount of lower playfield that is blocked by hte upper playfield in general. It's just satifying to see a target, shoot the ball at the target, and see the ball hit the target. Yeah, Popeye has indicators showing you where to shoot, but not ever seeing the ball actually hit the target blows. It's like the reverse of the Tommy game where you have flipper blinders. This is like having target blinders.

Then the left ramp (with the animals on it) that comes down to the left inlane is made of solid blue plastic. You can see thru it and it hides the left inlane and outlane. Nothing is more frustrating in Popeye than have a ball drain out of the left outlane that you never saw arrive in the left outlane area. No chance of nudging it or anything. Just a big WTF?

I'd actually be tempted to buy one of these, remove the upper playfield and make a new upper playfield out of laminated pieces of lexan, so you could see through the whole thing, instead of the toilet lid design of the current playfield. Then I'd like to remove that solid blue left ramp and remove the lower portion and replace it with a clear see thru portion so you could nudge and save the ball from draining out the left outlane.

It's funny because I want to like Popeye. I've actually devised ways that I'd like to try to improve the game because I keep thinking it possible couldnt have been that bad, could it? Yes it could and was.
