So what can be had In the Phoenix area right now? I just sold a game and am keeping my eyes open for something new. My want list are my top choices but who's knows if something enticing pops up. Also looking for a few vids mainly crystal castles, robotron and maybe outrun or outrun 2.
Agreed. I have money in my pocket and there is nothing out there at all I am remotely interested in.
Ive got first dibs on Flash Gordon. I've been bugging Nate about that game for the last year. Get that thing back together already would ya?
Yeah it's rough these days especially for us guys who have limited $. Flash Gordon is a game I have been trying to get for years. I just can't sit around and wait for pins to pop up, reply within 30 seconds and drive out to pick up in a matter of minutes. And yes Gribbs I agree shipping is fool proof! Lmao.
Not mad drag. Just knowing what collecting was 5 years ago and what it has become today it can get frustrating at times. And circumstances have changed for me recently so it's harder than ever for me to find deals I can afford. Plus I can't remember a time when games have been snatched up so fast. I didn't even see the posting for Flash Gordon it was gone so fast. As long as your playing and not hoarding I will live!
I've been fairly inactive in Pinball for awile now, just looking to throw some stuff out and see what happens. I have a Congo with no fade and near perfect cab and immaculate playfield, The Shadow with decent presentable cab and very nice playfield, Whirlwind that I was going to restore and have a TON of parts for a restore collected(including first run CPR playfield and backglass) that I'd like to throw out there for trade. I am looking for Afm, Banzai Run and Whitewater. Not really wanting more projects so Id be looking for above average to really nice in return. You can see my toher wants on my info page here.
I would have loved to grab that Hardbody Firebird had. It looks like its in really nice shape. I think it was listed for $1300 after a discount they offered for a day or something? Wish I had the cash. Im in the same boat. Pinball is just too expensive and its hard to find decent games that are affordable anymore.
Quoted from sunnRAT:It's been kinda quiet here lately!
Selling my '81 Bally Embryon. Not an easy pin to find these days, especially without playfield wear. Has a restored/clearcoated playfield. Sounds, displays, gameplay 100% functional. Plays fast for an early 80s widebody. LEDs installed. Clean machine. Though there are some areas of paint loss on the headbox, typical nicks/scratches - the overall cabinet body is good. $2000.
Been recovering from an appendectomy so my time at work has been limited, thus the decision to sell. Would prefer a sale, but would also consider a trade for a Bosconian or Burgertime arcade, plus cash.
Added yesterday:
Embryon is sold!
Someone got a great deal this game looked super nice.
I've got a above average players Whirlwind that I have a CPR playfield, Plastics, Backglass and ramps for that I was going to do a swap into. I have lost interest in the game and am moving at the start of next year so I am looking for a trade. I am most interested in Wh20 and BSD. I am also possibly interested in Jackbot. I am open to offers, you can see my list of wants on my personal page. I also have a Crystal Castles arcade game that I can use to sweeten a deal or would like to trade for an outrun or crazy taxi. I can possibly add some cash if possible.
I've been using the Craigslist app on my phone and this didn't even show up. In fact, when I went there directly online a ton of pins I wasn't seeing on the app popped up. Weird.
Anyone in the area have a Bally Viking they want to part with? I am also casually looking for a few other 80's Bally games.
Anybody have a Pinball dolly they don't want or need? I'm wanting to buy one. I am moving soon and need one asap. I don't really want to go the harbor freight route if I don't have to.

Moving local? You looking for a lift or a furniture dolly?
Not local. I'd like to have the dolly that is made to lift pinball machines so I have it when I need it. I always see them for sale and now that I am moving I can't find one. I don't have help moving them so its a situation that I need something that allows me to move them on my own.
Quoted from desertT1:Can you post a pic of what you did to the handle? I want to mod mine (love it) to be able to get further under a pin as well.
You sold me on this. I'm going to get one tomorrow. I hope its not hard to convert it to the pinball dolly.
So all of you nib regular buyers can some of you pm me and tell me who your favorite and most cost economical distributor is? I’m also curious about financing options. Just want to look at things from both perspectives. Thanks.
Can anyone recommend a place in Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe area that has a good mix of new Stern, JJP and some classics? Only here for tonight.
So who are the go to Stern Distributors nib. I’m thinking about getting in on Godzilla premium but have no real clue where to start. Of if any are actually in stock right now.
Quoted from dragdaily12:Looking for a Shadow local or within 7 hour drive or so. Thanks
Happy 4th
You have any interest in trading your Afm or Banzai Run as a part of the deal?
The problem in Arizona and the Phoenix area in Particular is there are circles and most of the fair deals are done outside of the open market. I lived in Gilbert for 12 years and picked up games at great prices for years because I knew people. Now that I have moved to Lake Havasu I’ve lost all my good connections and have basically stopped collecting other than what I have. Most games I can get for a fair price need restored so I’m not paying top dollar for junk. As far as Gribbs goes he is a HIGH end collector and will only attract a small group of high end buyers. I can afford to buy top shelf games but can’t justify the cost of this hobby anymore. To me 10k+ is just insane to pay for a game. To each their own I guess.
Quoted from TheBaron:Heya Chad! Long time, no see. I understand your pain. Around 9 years ago, I had 3 deals in a row go pretty bad with one really stressful experience (no, you were not one of the bad experiences ). I never really left the hobby, but I decided to pack it in and take a break from buying/selling.
Anyway, not trying to bash anybody in AZ. I've been following this thread for awhile and it seems like the new blood and current participants are a group of pretty cool/chill people.

I wondered what happened to you. I still have Alien Poker and it will never leave. Tell your son it’s in great hands. Most of the guys I used to trade and buy/sell from I’ve lost touch with. I understand the break. I’ve been on one also, but I’m itching to add a game or two and have been dabbling in arcades also.
I’m on the hunt for a CPR Flash Gordon playfield. Anyone holding on to one they may not use give me a message.
I am just throwing this out there and seeing what happens. I have an above average players whirlwind that I was going to restore but have lost some interest in it with other projects taking the forefront. This game has a cpr playfield, plastics, backglass and starship fantasy ramps all uninstalled. I’m looking to upgrade and would be open to many deals up or down. What I’m absolutely most looking for are these games
Banzai run
Attack from mars
Whitewater
Scared stiff
Obviously I’d add cash to make a deal work. Really I’m looking for anything interesting that piques my interest. You can see my want list to get an idea of what I like. Shoot me a pm let’s chat.
