Scored this today off CL. The guy was very nice and even to his massive massive credit, he told me I was the first responder on the ad and he wouldn't sell it from out from under me...
AND HE DIDN'T! Several other locals emailed on it and said they never even got replies! OMG, SOMEONE WITH MORALS! SWEET! It's not PERFECT, but it's about as damn near to 'perfect for 250' that you'll ever get lol. Apparently the guy had it for 7 years, bought it from TPF. Ad looked nice, but oh man...didn't expect what I found LOL.
So we get there, and my wife finds this card on there.....woah WTF. This game was done over by Keith Holbrook, NICE. I've seen some of Keiths other work in person and it's nice. And this one isn't too different. The cabinet paint job is excellent. Great webbing and great colors. Coin door and metals cleaned up nicely and shiny, which is a first for me on an EM, lol. Everything plays nice, most of the stuff on the top of the playfield is either new, new-looking, or polished. The underside mech brackets are polished too. The whole thing plays awesome, the roto isn't spinning but the solenoid fires properly and the gears are turning. Just have to get to the set screws I think.
The weakest part is actually the playfield. The clear is not at all level, thick in some places, thin to MISSING in others. I am not sure if it was spot cleared, but it is what it is. There is one spot that has no clear at all and is wearing, we're going to hit it with some hard as nails to level it out and stop the ball travel, or I'll go buy some non-spray varathane and dropper it until it's level. But what's important is that it plays well, and for the most part looks really really nice. And the price was just way too good to pass up with my other EM on the block and going soon.
