Before I called Steve for the first time I did the research. Had parts numbers ready, but was confused about a few. When i called I explained right away that I knew nothing about repairing pinball machines and that I heard he was a grouchy bastard. Once I got him laughing I knew I had it made. He was VERY helpful and gave me a good schooling. He explained how he worked and didn't put up with bullshit.
He also told me he may not do any more shows. (don't know if that's true)
PS: I like Steve.

One time I got his bill in the mail and was waiting for new checks to come in. I didn't want to wait even one day to pay him. (most stuff got to me overnight!) Sooo, I just put cash in the envelope with a copy of my receipt and number. No problem. (Granted it was only $22)
