Steve is a good guy. This is just the way things were done in the past and he never changed. If you just accept that, then it's really not that bad - just funny. You order something, and then pay the bill later. The first order though you have to pay for first so they know you aren't trying to rip them off.

Having your customer number on future orders always makes him happy. And if you know your part numbers, and tell him what you are doing, he will give you a story about parts not being made anymore, etc...

I always call myself (not email) and I expect an odd experience. They ship super fast and I mail the check as soon as the order comes. Never had a problem.
