Joined the club yesterday, such a clever, gorgeous game! Spooky rocks, really happy with their latest two. Need to do some fine tuning, of course, like getting rid of those horrid Super Bands or whatever it is Spooky uses for flipper rubbers. Overly bouncy, slick, I truly hate them. My Cooper played so much better once I put Titans on it. Anyway, a couple new owner questions:

- Yesterday when I brought it home and played (all night!), the topper would activate on each new ball. Changed some settings, now today it only activates on new balls maybe 75% of the time, and 0% of the time on ball 1. Maybe just a fluke that would correct itself next power up, but wondering if anyone had this (my code is 06.01, I believe).

- I plan on reading the fine tuning tips later and dialing this in (has anyone compiled all the tips into one post/video?), but I'm pretty sure the major culprit for the garage shot is that ring rubber an inch or two into the start of the orbit. That looks like it can go with no harm to the balls/game.

Quoted from mpdpvdpin:

Congrats! Let me come over and play that shit! Haha

Sure thing! As soon as the covids seem all over and done with, I'd love to have New England locals over for Saturday night casual play/pingolf/whatever.

Quoted from epthegeek:

There's a change in the next release to flipper hold behavior that should help.

Is anyone still having a weak flipper hold problem? I'm not on the newest code but I believe I'm 06.01, which is after this was posted, and my flipper holds are weak. Hold any flipper up, roll a ball into them yourself at any decent speed, watch them sink halfway down.

Quoted from epthegeek:

The 06.04 release was the first public build with the changes. I don’t know if they were in the beta by 06.01 or not. Everybody who was testing along before & after said they saw improvement, and I haven’t seen overly mushy flippers on any stream yet.

Sweet, thanks. I've been dialing this sucker in obsessively since I got it on Monday, and all I really need now to make it play smoothly is this issue to go away, do the washer thing with the scoop (if the previous owner didn't already do it, not sure), and wait for my low bounce Titan flipper rubbers to come in. Not sure if they'll be better than the generic Stern rubbers I swapped on now, but seemed like a good gamble for just a few bucks.

Quoted from Borygard:

This is the ideal EoS position for R&M....

With the current software and the EoS adjusted like this, flipper recovery is about as good as it gets.

Yep, this is the good stuff, thanks. After adjusting my EOS blades, the knockdown is much better. Still there a little, but I'll just bend the blades more next time I'm under. Thanks also Kevlar for the help.

Just put on some Titan low bounce flipper rubbers and the difference is night and day. First game with them on I more than doubled my previous high score. The bounces are softer and more reliable, and it's way easier to cradle.

Some games need them more than others (Stern and JJP factory rubbers are decent), but Titans go on all my games at this point. Especially Spooky and AP games.

Just looked through my logfile after updating the code to 2022.01.02 a few days ago, any problems in here or just standard business? Thx.

Fairly certain I saw that in my file too after every update since I've had the machine.

That's what I figured, just never looked at any of the logs until now. Thanks.
