Quoted from mpdpvdpin:

Said goodbye to spot 312 today. Bittersweet, but some deals you just can’t turn down. Pray for me that I at least get to PLAY it someday.

Well it will have a great home. And if you are ever in Chicago, there is sweet number 312 waiting to be played. Thanks again for the deal. Looking forward to an awesome Christmas gift!

Quoted from Chisox:

Me too! 335 here. I was hoping to have it before Christmas because I’m having the extended family here for the holidays (lord help me) and there’s many R&M fans young and old among us. Cheers!

Haha! I got the message from Chris as well. #312 hoping to get it mid November!

Thought I would update this thread with delivery info. Machine number 312 is now (rightfully) sitting home in Chicago. As the machine was very cold since it was stored in a trailer for delivery over the weekend, it will be resting and warming up before powering it on. Glad its home and looking forward to trying it out very soon.

Quoted from Cheeks:

jayfrost - I was going to say this same thing. Did you just have your game delivered from Chris today? I'm #311 and I met him to get mine later this morning. He said Spooky told him the issue was resolved, but I got a mark on my cabinet just tightening the legs while it was still vertical. I'm putting some Pinball Life Bally legs on in the meantime.
BTW - Spooky also put the wrong coindoor on my game (black when it was supposed to be purple) so I've got 2 issues and I haven't even set up the game yet. It's feeling like I may have the Jerry edition...in spirit at least.

Cheeks Yep Chris delivered it this morning. I saw yours covered up in the trailer. Glad it found its way home.

I was very lucky in that so far everything that was suppose to be delivered has been. The legs are perfectly squared off and not pinching on the sides. As many have mentioned before...this thing shakes and rattles like a Model T. And this is the first machine I have owned that has such a loud fan....I did buy the replacement fan kit and that has jumped to the top of the list.....also the topper can be a bit loud but bearable.

I played a few games and wow....its tough, but I laughed so much that at times I missed the ball completely. Excited to get better and put some real mileage on this machine.

Im curious as to some of the machines that shipped earlier had either white or maybe translucent post protectors in the upper field (on the ramps and so forth) Also saw some machines that had other colored bands on the flippers....I assume those were added afterwards by the owner. My machine (312) shipped with all black. Is this how all machines ship, or is it more pot luck with Spooky? Sorry this is my first Spooky machine. BTW - Most fun I have ever had with any pin...the quality of the playfield and interaction is off the charts fun.

Quoted from Cheeks:

Pretty sure they switched to the black ones due to durability issues with the clear ones. Mine are black.
Be glad you didn't get my machine. My game was delivered on Monday right after yours and 48 hours later I still have not played a game yet. Working through a laundry list of issues and I don't even know what might still be ahead of me if/when I get to play it. Been a pretty frustrating experience so far.

Cheeks Sorry to hear that. From everything I have read, Spooky is an awesome company who will make sure that thing is perfect. I hope they deliver great service for you. On the upside, the game is really a ton of fun. Hard as hell as some others have alluded to though. I have read every post on this thread and it seems that some of the modifications people have made initially to get the play a bit more refined have found their way into the later edition machines. While I cringe at having to hit the garage consistently, I do find that I get better every game...But hell my high score after about 2 dozen games is 6 Million....So a lot of ground to still cover. Best of luck getting it fixed.

May I ask where your ordered the bright buttons?

Quoted from jbigdoggf:

Quick review for those interested...
The hooked on pinball lighted rail kit and pinball life RaM hinges.
I was a bit skeptical on the hinges I liked them but also felt bad taking off the spooky logo from the hinge / machine. They looked good but look a lot better lit up... like Rick himself I suppose.
The portal light is nice as well and really sticks out when your in a dim room or without the overhead lights up.
Install - install was easy. Really just a screw driver and some clear tape and 1 socket to swap the hinges if you do that as well.
Overall I am happy with it. And looks good with the bright button upgrade as well.
On suggestion would make is that I would like to have ability to have it fade I and out. Something simple set it and forget it like the bright buttons use... that would really make it pop and stand out.
Right not they are just on or off with the button.
If anyone know how to make that happen (fade in and out) let me knownthat would look bad ass[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
