Quoted from Flynnyfalcon:Is that just a crazy coincidence with 3 of you getting the super dooper limited edition?
Word on the street is the Aussie one is green and gold
So 2 questions:
What is the most stable public release? I just installed 20201012 version and in 4 or 5 games have had 2 complete resets. Started a multiball adventure then another dimension.. then black screen of death! I previously had 20200911 version and had only 1 problem in many, many games.
Secondly, how to keep settings and high scores. Mine have been reset - I had one upgrade that failed, so I went to a completely new USB stick, the upgrade worked. I see on the original USB there are game_user_data and game_user_settings files. Can I copy these onto the USB and upgrade again ? And how do I know which of the files are which ?

And another one. New dimension (not sure which one) started first, A life well lived adventure and Multiball started at the same time. At least one meseeks alive on a ramp, and a tilt warning. Got part way through the audio about the plumbus and then dead screen and reboot.
Quoted from nullentropy:20201012 has been rock solid for me
The other thing I have noticed is that I am getting way more tilt warnings. Possibly just default settings gave changed when I lost my previous settings and scores.
Quoted from TherealDroopy:Has anyone else had restart issues during game play on the latest code?
I am getting restarts but I think they are related to an electrical problem -a loose connection somewhere- seem to happen when I am getting excitable and throwing the machine around esp during multiball
Quoted from Braindance:I should also mention I removed the right screw from the left ramp, as i noticed it wasn't doing anything but get in the way of the ball since the wood hole was stripped and something under the playfield seems to have prevented the installer from screwing it in all the way. The left screw is tight and the ramp is entrance is sitting fairly flush to the playfield, so I don't think the ramp itself is the problem.
When I removed my left ramp I found one much shorter woodscrew floating around in a stripped hole (and neither screw in the pre drilled holes on the playfield) . I wonder if there is a conscious reason for this at the factory
I packec the hole and tightened it up thinking that making it stiffer would help with the ramp shot. I don't think it has. After the discussion above now worried that it might be making the ramp flap the wrong shape.
Quoted from arzoo:Update looks awesome!
Anyone else think it would be useful if the Card Stamp animation could be double-flip interrupted?
YES, Absolutely would vote for that.
Here's the other thing about the garage shot... it's meant to be a hard shot to make. There's a reason why you get a bigger payoff on the left than the right.
I recall a post a while back about a random second ball being served up. I am getting this from time to time.
It seems to be when I am shaking the machine. I'm wondering if one of the switches in the ball trough could cause it if it was being opened or closed by the vibration? Or should I be looking for the ball eject coil being grounded somehow ? Draining the first "legitimate" ball doesn't trigger the end of ball sequence.
Generally when it happens I am pleased to get another life
And in other news, I adjusted my flippers closer to the alignment holes (but not all the way) and it definitely improved the ability to make the left ramp, while still allowing a backhand to the right ramp (slightly harder than it was with the flippers as shipped).
Can someone tell me how Meeseeks Mania scoring works?
All I know is that if I have a good multiball with mania, big scores can happen, but I have no idea how to make them even bigger.
Quoted from arzoo:Prior to the latest update my flippers were rock solid with default settings. After the update I'm getting knock-downs again. Guess I need to change the settings.
Same. I guess the previous hardware ( eos setting) and software was matched well. But I like other things about this release so I will look at my EOS settings
and tuning the other SW settings before I revert
EDit: the main thing I want to fix that I didn't get before is the flutter
EDIT 2. I skipped the March release so my baseline comparison is with January release
Does anyone know if there is a way to do a diverter hold test. I only found diverter initial power in the coil test menu. Or is the diverter held open by some other means?
Quoted from db666:My experience is the same as this - update mucked up the flippers which I had working pretty well before.
Changed to Original and that made it worse, Aggressive feels more like before the update (but still not great - getting some fluttering when flipper button is pressed occasionally) and now I'm worried about the heat build up too.
This was my experience too, but I have just adjusted the EOS switches so they close right at the verrrrrry end of the stroke and the flippers feel great - better than before. I have taken the hold pattern back to default from aggressive and they feel good.
Quoted from Calfdemon:............. No rhyme or reason to it. Nothing worse than hitting the garage to go to a new dimension and then have the portal eject immediately bounce over to the left drain.
Can't figure out what to do to make it better...
Set the ball save timer in settings for portal eject. Compensate for the hardware with software.
Post sleeves: What is everyone using for replacements ? After 850 games the sleeves beside the scoop are shredded (I know, I should be hitting the scoop or the ship loop and not the posts and I wouldn't have a problem).
I think these are the choices from Pinball Life:
Product ID: PBL-700-0026-00-XX
PerfectPlay 1-1/16" Thin (Stern Compatible) Rubber Post Sleeve
and
Product ID: 23-6556-xx
1-1/16" Super-Bands Translucent Post Sleeves
Will the Super Bands last longer in real life?
Quoted from rotordave:I have a bunch of Cliffy sleeves in Pukekohe.
I’d have to check in the weekend what colours I have left ...
rd
Thanks Dave, I'll message you
Quoted from Penguindeity:Anyone else hit the scoop in meseeks mania and not get an eject, ball search etc? It's a fatal bug as it never ejects!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Yep, a couple of times. Can't remember whether Meseeks had been active but definitely multiball and I am fairly sure it was Roy mode
