Well I bought #171 hoping to see it soonish. I see 157-158 seemed like they are still a few weeks back.
Quoted from zaphX:Well let's do the math.
We are 8 months into production. 151 is about_ to ship.
(750-151) / (151 /= 31.73 months remaining in production at the current rate.
Now, there are some problems with this. We don't know how many Euro/Aussie games went out. COVID took the factory down for a while, etc.
Covid, moving the factory.. etc etc etc. So call it 6 months of production. And your ramp up is also different. Your first month of production will never be anywhere near your last months as productivity increases on the line.
Quoted from bitternerd:Well, I am excited to get mine ------ but I think you need to realize that asking if the game is good on a fan club page may be a bit biased. Kind of like going into a bar (I kind of remember those) and asking if booze is yummy. (Spoiler alert, you are going to get mostly "Hell yes" as an answer). But if you want confirmation bias as a way to justify paying a premium........ this is probably your place!
This man understands echo chambers!
But no, he's right... This is a thread full of homers.
If you want it, your boys want it... go get it.
Quoted from arzoo:Hey, where are you in PA if you don't mind me asking?
I'm in the Lehigh Valley
#171 is home, and man what a game. The hype is real. I only got to play a few games last night as I just moved into a new house, and the honey do list is miles long, but my buddy who has #749 coming was as happy as could be also, because it was pretty awesome.
I did have the game freeze on the meeseeks multiball, I did see some comments about that earlier so I have to see what code mine has and go from there.

[quoted image]
That is weird... I'll mention it to him.
Quoted from jonesjb:Good to know I'm working with the right parts, I do get the green light on the controller adjustment board, but the menu button doesn't do anything when I press it the screen is dark. Although every now and then the screen will flash white, I can play games on the pin, just no screen. Still trying to diagnose where the weak link in the setup is.
Thanks for your help, ripple
Remember, some times these components you buy... are not always good. You can receive DOA boards.
Quoted from xfassa:Here is what occurred after the update (Note: code was NOT the problem, keep reading).
After cursing Eric (only kidding), I discovered pop bumper parts in the bottom of the cab (2 washers and a fiber yoke). The problem was the result of the ring/rod separating from the pop bumper assembly. After reassembling, all good.
Note, I never found either of the nylon locking nuts (yes, I checked all around the speaker). Makes me wonder if they were ever attached. All good now, the code is rock solid. My apologies to Eric for even thinking the code was the problem.
Had the same thing happen. Ring came detached. I couldnt find the lock nuts either.
He airbrushes and paints pinball machines professionally. Hes also overseas... Pretty sure he'll be ok.
Might be blasphemy or not... But I installed the slightly larger Adpin flippers.
Man, It transforms the game. It took it from Hard to "mild" hard.
I'm no pro player, I just like to flip... It made ball times and flipping way more fun on this.
Anybody have the list of rubbers this takes.. ordered a bunch of titans off the database and I am definitely short...
Quoted from kermit24:Are those adjustable flippers? WTF?
Quoted from pinballslave:Well spotted, yes... WTF?
That sounds amazing... I love quirky stuff like that... must check out the tilt forum to get the full low-down!
Quoted from rai:No more flipper gap?
Yup those are Ad-pins. Adjustable from +5mm to -2mm.
My wifes ghostbuster has them, and I had an extra set from another game I sold. So I put them on R & M to see how it shoots.
Honestly, everyone (wife, friends, etc) enjoy's the game so much more now.
My wife just likes to flip, she's not into grinding and such.
So I'm leaving them. If things get too easy.. takes 10 seconds to adjust them.
Quoted from snaroff:Just joined the club...#175. The pinball gods were shining on me...picked this up locally NIB. Spooky blanket wraps the butter cabinets to perfection. First time I've ever seen a "butter" cabinet. Really beautiful. The cabinet artwork is just stunning, and I like how it's unique on each side. Sweet.
Need to fiddle with the audio...sounds awful out-of-the-box (as others have discussed in this thread). Tried simply turning down the volume, but that didn't help much.

Good choice in art, and games...
Quoted from CWiehler:Does anyone else find themselves tapping the magnasave button area on their other games now?
Yuppppppp
Quoted from Pinball-Obsessed:I took a picture of the spacing of my flippers to the playfield.
Seems like a lot if height off the playfield.
Does this look like I will need new bushings
?

Yes. Every game is affected. There is no fix till spooky has new ones made. You could shave yours down if needed.
Quoted from PinMonk:So, your recommendation is to shave his bush? This thread has taken a hard turn.
LOL. Well done fine sir. I reward you all the internet points... And should just pull the trigger on the parts of yours I have sitting in my cart
Quoted from PinMonk:Take your time. You don't want to rush and make a potentially painful mistake.
I'm only careful while shaving. The rest of the time, I'm wreck less.
Look we can all argue about how a 6k, 7k, or 8k game is supposed to come...
I have a NIB Elvira that needing a WHOLE F-ING MECH MOVED, among others fixed, I have a AIQ that needed a subway mech redesign...
Let's be real, no one makes a perfect game.
We are here to share fixes, engage with spooky, and hopefully help them also.
They absolutely want to make the best game possible.
I've moved pieces, bent a scoop, fixed a pop bumper, lost a good game or two to crashes... It's not a perfect game.
But I called them three days ago. Said my legs were the bum kind and my spinner topper needed help. New legs, new cab decal, and fix for my spinner are on the way... With one call and email.
Let's keep it positive and helpful.

Made a back box flasher mod today.
I enjoy it.
Excuse the spinner, waiting on a replacement part.
Get anti rattle tape. Solves 95 percent of the rattle. Follow the key posts on here... The game takes some tweaking.
Your one corner looks out of square. I would check top and bottom inside the cab.
Quoted from cooked71:Or just try the cut zip tie under the glass rail solution documented earlier. Works a treat, costs almost nothing and you don’t have to stick anything to the glass.
Id rather not F with zipties when I can tape the glass and never think about it again. But as they say, there can be more then one solution to the same problem.
Quoted from Manic:Don't you see the black tape on the edges of the glass when in the game then? I've never had to use it so I don't know.
No, you dont.
Got my new legs, felts, and few other bits today.
Great support. Thank you Spooky.
Personally, I'll deal with a few short comings as long as the machine is well supported.
But honestly, I'm some tape, a sub spacer, and the glass off a few times and screws moved into it so far.
I'll put the felts on with the new legs, and fix my spinner tomorrow.
I'd surmise I'm no more time of money into my new 8k pinball machine as I am into my new Lotus I got over the summer... Small companys come with personality.
Quoted from wolv3:Thats great to see, what kind of pads are they sending with the game?
Felt.
Quoted from Lounge:My post was specifically addressed to Spooky and you took it upon yourself to jump in the middle of it and get snarky. Your unsolicited counsel is not required.
You know how else to address spooky, without let's say another pinsider jumping in to help?
A private email.
Quoted from HurryUpPinball:Awesome! Let us know how it goes and how they hold up. Just turned in my build sheet and curious to see if it has the standard bushings or the previously mentioned new ones once it arrives.
Will do. I prototyped in PLA for ease of print. But my final version will be PETG or Nylon for longevity.
Quoted from PinMonk:I would think you'll need at least Nylon, but with the stresses on the shaft that may still break at the layers unless you print it sideways so the layers run the length of it instead of left to right.
And if you're printing PETG/ABS, etc, PLEASE make sure you're using great filtration. It's very bad for your health long-term because it puts a ton of microparticles in the air when you heat it up. I only print PETG on my enclosed, filtered printers and save the Prusas for PLA only (and even then I have two room HEPA filters).
Thanks for the advice. I print Petg/abs/nylon in a closed room, closed enclosure, W/ hepa.
Pla I do on my desktop Mks3+.
I do the rest on a Voron 2.4
My little brother works for formlabs, and I might have him do a SLA print of it. But I think that will be un needed.
Quoted from Aniraf:I would sure be willing to work out some kind of deal on their next game . I certainly don’t want to tell them how to do business or even how their machine should “feel”.
Personally I think the game feels insanely better with the flippers lowered. Like I said earlier, I was shocked by this. In fact, I am debating turning down my flipper power because it actually hits the ball so much harder that I see more air balls and ramp launches. Even the upper flipper feels different for me. I am actually able to hit the left side of the horseshoe lock reliably from the upper flipper now.
The slight change in height also has the effect of slightly adjusting the timing on the shots. The left ramp and right orbit feel more like “sweet spot” shots to me vs. the factory design.
Lastly I am actually debating if dropping the flippers has an impact on the coil heat generation. I don’t want to make any false claims here, but I swear my flippers felt strong for a longer session than prior.
Please take my comments with a grain of salt…for all I know this is a placebo effect and nothing has changed . I’ll get them in the hands of a few other people and hopefully they can report back on their experience.
I thank you for your efforts, and releasing the STL.
I designed a printable Shortened Flipper bushing a few months back, but life has gotten in the way of me installing them. I might give yours a go here soon.
