Quoted from dts:

Found a distro for BSE #93, but $1000 more (deposit $2500). Man I want one of these, but $8500?... Any other distros out there?

if you found a double digit game for only 1k over, that would be a the lowest that one has sold for now. people are paying almost 4k over for the only other one I know of that is a double digit game that has sold

I’ll report back later on this to explain once I confirm it. I naively thought there might be some BSEs left out there for $7500... Of course they would be gone.

#353 4 years ago

How many adventures are currently planned? I think the game’s difficulty is fine as long as there is enough random variety, which I think this game has.

I imagine the citadel will be some kind of wizard mode...

Well, mine could be had at that price! For a lower number lol

#211 here. And while I agree with Greg in terms of the C137 art not being 'true' to the design of show characters, I had an idea for us and went with it. I decided to post it to give props to Project Pinball, a charity I've had a chance to appreciate in person. Sorry for the large image.

When did you order your c137?

#357 4 years ago

During the new stream, I see that the search light (light beams) during Multiball has double or triple. I rather see it back to one as shown in the Sneak Peak video
~ Less is more!

I ordered on the 31st and came through on the 15th.

I respectfully disagree here, if it was to be a spotlight then yes. But I like the new lightshow better - My take on the lighting (from the animation on the display) is that it's not white lights, but red light alarms going off, and the new lighting display simulates multiple red lights.

I agree with this. With more white lights it washed the effect out, the original was so crisp and defined, it had more impact. When I watch the first one I always want to go back and see it again because it’s hard to believe it’s play field lights creating the effect. I appreciate what they were going for with the new one, but I think that first one was perfection and didn’t really need to be messed with.

#363 4 years ago

I like the single search light, but if its meant to be a beacon it should rotate one direction and alternate red and white (evenly)or red and whatever the current playfield color is

#364 4 years ago

Multiple search lights could scan from the corners (one in each)

Quoted from jonesjb:

Embrace the power of And.

No reason both effects can't be used.

I prefer the single search light as well. The latest stream showing multiple kind of killed the effect a little for me. Too much tinkering, I guess.

You should definitely reach out. They usually get back a little over a week.

I just want to throw this out there. I don't like tipping my hand too much but we have plans for a mod that would go behind your coin door. As such you would need to have the coin door with the bill validator space in it to utilize this mod fully. It isn't strictly required but the effect would be 100% better if you had the door with the bill validator slot. I only say this because I know people are ordering games and I want to give the heads up since you have the opportunity now to get the door. I believe it's a slightly increased price from Spooky for the different door but I can see that door being used for several mods so I would think for the small price it would be worth it now, just in case. The door is available commercially but it would not have the powder coat finish for either version of R&M so either way you would want to get it from Spooky.

The plumbus tilt animation has me wondering if there are more custom animations in the game or anymore planned for the future.

Sounds like a swinging plumbus in a lit box going where the bill validator would be. That would look pretty disturbing

I was not planning on adding the coin door.
But now im wondering what you have in store for us. I will add it if your mod is interesting.
Can you tell us a little more?

I will be adding it to my personal game just so I have the option of headphone jack that fits in there.

What's the general consensus for shaker motors in Spooky games? Is the effect and implementation similar to a Stern or different? I know Eric mentioned that shaker code isn't implemented yet but I'm sure it will be at some point. Are the cabinets pre t-nutted if you decide to add one later? Thanks.

#383 4 years ago
Quoted from Rarehero:

Why are decals safe from rings and watches but not a cleared cab?
The whole “It’s $1000 more but fragile AF” thing will keep me from ever going butter. Decals look fine, and I don’t look at the cab while playing.

I haven't read anywhere if decals could be applied onto butter cabs. I went with butter for ACNC because I think the art is some of the best ever put on a pin, but I plan on it staying in my basement for a very long time. With R&M I'm passing on butter because I would like to get it out in the wild for others to play. Don't want to sweat having it damaged.

with the sub, I see zero need for a shaker.

Granted I also personally hate shakers. They cause unneeded shaking of parts (loosening of crap) and add little to the game.
There are a few games which require them (earthshaker) but most it is just a waste. I would rather add special glass for the cost.

Thanks. I think I'll put the money towards the Pinnovators headphone kit/DBV door instead so that I can play it loud through headphones later at night. I can always add a shaker in later if I change my mind.

I'm gonna have to disgree with you there! A well implemented shaker adds to the experience. TWD and TNA (as examples) both implement the shaker extremely well. There are some games where it isn't implemented well (XMLE) and shakes just to shake, but there are games where it shines. I'm getting one for my game, and with Eric on code, I think the shaker implementation will be good.

yeah, totally personal preference.

To me the sub on TNA and R&M does plenty of player feedback vibration.

I mean, the ship on the playfield shakes. You telling me that having a shaker doesnt add to the effect when the ship shakes? Also, Im willing to bet they have a mode where you are running from someone/thing in the ship. When the ship takes damage, a shaker will add to that as well. Im sure there will also bee some awesome call outs about the shaker from justin.

I agree that shakers added onto machines that were never meant to have one is dumb. If the game is CODED to have it...you are missing out.

#389 4 years ago

Shakers are great and absolutely add to the overall experience. Plenty of recent games use them very well. Jurassic Park with the T-Rex stomping is one example, but there are lots of opportunities to use them in this game.

Is butter fragile or something? I’ve never seen it.

Shaker dimension or earthquake planet.

It's a clear coat on the cabinet, so as fragile as what you can expect. I would think that anything that you can do with a car's clear coat as far as scuffs and such goes, you can do with a butter cab.

Please tell me that isn't pickle flavored.

I worry more about it chipping off, but honestly I don't know. I bought some Vivak flipper button protectors from playfield protectors. Trying to do as much as I can to just preserve the finish.

#399 4 years ago

#710 here. Should be the second to last BSE made next to PinBackpacker 's #711!

From the article:
If you're wondering what the Pickle Rick Donut actually tastes like, it has been described as coming "From a reality where pickles taste like lemon crème and white choc…!"
