Quoted from FatPanda:

The gap on mine looks to be about as big. It's happened to me twice now and the ball was wedged in there tight. Took a considerable amount of effort (more than you would think) to get the ball out.

Sounds like a job for the ball fondlers...

I guess the "die in a cage" thread title is appropriate for the corona virus environment .... just about due for something a tad lighter, hey Scott?

My day project. I installed lighted flipper buttons on R&M. They pulse green. Don’t worry, I didn’t void my warranty for these. I also installed a secondary mean well power supply to run any lighted mods I will be installing.

that looks fantastic!

So is some one making a custom mr meeseeks face for the target fix? You could make it deeper and wider. It looks like you can hit the target from the left side since thats where it is getting stuck. Why not lean into that and make a meeseeks face target to bash that is deeper and wiper by a little?

Thats my contribution. The post makes sense too, but wont it totally cut off the ability to hit the meeseeks target from certain angles?

Doesnt some one make rotating led light ups for flipper buttons? I thought I remember seeing those some where. They rotated around and you could change the speed.....I wonder if that would look cool. I was waiting for some one to post some sort of flipper lights. Thanks!

Has anyone heard news that Brian Allen was doing an alternate backglass for R&M? His stuff is really amazing and usually officially licensed. I found this teaser image (pw protected) while I was looking over his latest work for MM.

See attached. Morty looks a little too hard core BUT I do like the overall look.

#2011 3 years ago

I think overall everyone looks to be overly aggressive, even though I generally like Brian Allen's work. Mr. Poopy Butthole would never make that face

#2012 3 years ago

Yah, I like the art, but just doesn’t fit R&M IMO. I might buy a translite and put it in an LED frame though.

#2013 3 years ago

Yea agreed. I like it, and might get it to make a display out of, but I don't think it fits the machine...

#2014 3 years ago

Same thoughts here, doesn’t “match” the aesthetic of the pin IMO

#2015 3 years ago

Sames

#2016 3 years ago

Everyone looks so angry. I agree, doesn't fit the theme.

#2017 3 years ago

I would like it as a poster. Just doesn't fit the rest of the game.

#2018 3 years ago
Quoted from Palmer:

I’m not gonna say I wouldn’t put it in my pin to see how it looks but I agree with everyone here it doesn’t gel with the pins art and feel.

I would probably buy it and frame it.

Quoted from arzoo:

Maybe they're angry because the game is such an asskicker? In that sense, it fits perfectly

This and his MM design have pretty big composition issues. The art is fun and has energy, but man the visuals are barfed out in a gratuitous way where my eye has no direction within the frame. It's like a visual splatter.

#2021 3 years ago

It’s neat how they are all coming out of a portal and so the green from that plus the purple edges do line up with the the colors on the pin...

Maybe someone that has a RM already will buy one and post a pic of it on their machine, that would be nice!

Photo shop anyone...???
I’m out at work otherwise I would try it if I was home on my computer.

Just a quick cut/paste. It's too much for me personally.

Yep, I agree, too much.

Cool artwork though. I’m sure it would like nice lighted and framed.

I'm a big fan of Brian Allen's work (I bought his MB alternate backglass and a frame he built when I was at Pinburgh last year), but this is just a total miss for R&M. It just doesn't fit the theme. It's like he took what he did with MB, AFM, and MM, and just copy pasted the work to R&M. Hard pass for me. I would never put that in my game.

#2026 3 years ago

Well it's his style so I get it, overall I think it's really cool, but it doesn't really match actual R&M asthetic --- but it could -- they do different things with their art templates all the time in shorts/ads.... but as for going on the pinball machine, I don't feel it matches.

Agreed.

Like this style would work for ACNC and even looks a lot like Zornows stuff in some specific parts of the art.

I just dont feel it for RaM

He didn't draw it especially for the R&M pin.

This Rick and Morty illustration is something I did officially for Cartoon Network a few years ago and was sold on t-shirts at Hot Topic.

Nowhere in my comment did I say he drew it for the R&M pin. Brian's releasing a backglass that just doesn't fit the theme imo. It is definitely his style of art, but just doesn't mesh with R&M. Or R&M the pin for that matter.

Maybe a better picture (zoomed out) so we can see the portal gun and your Mod might be good here.

Just curious what that mod covers? I know there is a green decal there that says something but I don't have my game yet and internet pictures don't show that spot well. Any chance of a photo of the location as it comes stock? I like the mod but want to see what I would be covering if I get it. Thanks!!

My only comment is that particular font doesn't appear anywhere else in the game so it doesn't seem integrated at all.

Maybe if it was done with the same fonts as "anti gravity right flipper, etc" it would look like it fits with the rest of the fonts/artwork...?

Fair input opinion. We were actually favoring a font used in the show for theme vs what was done on the Instruction decals. Just gives it a more Fun look over large font caps. Everyone has there own vision which is what makes it fun. Thanks for the input.

#2040 3 years ago

given there is already a lot of text in that area, I agree with garretswinning that use of an existing font from one of the other nearby areas would make more sense

Unity is important. No reason to create different elements that clash - increases gaudiness.

Bought the 1st season of Rick & Morty. What a trip this show is! Love it! Now I may have to get this machine one day.

Awesome thing is, my local coin op is on the list for one. So I'll get to try it out first. I never thought that would happen!

First season was good and improved as it went along. But the show only gets better after Season 1, so don't stop there. So much good stuff ahead for you!

Why hasn’t he watched all the seasons already? There’s no excuse!

He needs to get his shit together!
Get all his shit, put it together and put it in a backpack. All his shit so it’s together!!!

Finish all the seasons then come back and comment!

Actually, that picture showing the trim finish on R&M standards shows why I ordered a standard (and will have to wait more than a year for it). I just like that hammered metal look more than the BSE's purple trim. And standards should be the more limited model.

I’ve seen both in person and although the standard does not look bad, by any means, the purple just looks so amazing in person and blends so well with the artwork and colors of this pin.

Here’s another pic of the standard I played at Pinball Life in Huntley, IL.

I felt the same way about Alice Cooper. You can't tell from pictures, but that gray hammered is awesome! I like it far more than the upgraded scary blue. And it matches the haunted castle theme better.
