Thanks guys, for confirming my suspicion.
My TNA has worked so good, that I haven't lifted the playfield in two years.
So I've forgotten what the shaker looks like.
Thanks again.
GONZO.
Quoted from zaphX:That is officially the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen done to a pinball machine. Good luck selling it.
Why? This is a machine, normaly you never sell.
I’m sure, in 3-4 years. You never found one again.
All people that sell this fantastic pinball, wish in few years, he never do that I’m absolutely sure.
And if I had the time, I do lots of things more. And why? Because I like it. And Im happy every time, when I look to the speaker panel and laugh.
I think my avengers between the rick and morty laugh too

Anyone have any idea how many standard editions they sold? I was trying to get my hands on a standard edition spot but I’m wondering if there is even any out there?

Keep doing what you do.
I think it’s awesome.
Ok, its 1:10 in the AM, two beers and 1 bottle of fallbrook cabernet, and steaks, so I know nothing.
But I think I heard there are only 25 or 30 standards, and a few of them were in the New Zealand ane Australia shipment that already landed down under, its gonna be tough to find a standard.

What is the latest software build? Do we get it from Eric or Spooky? I know Spooky sometimes is slow to post them.
edit: Found it.
Anybody else notice this pinball easter egg in S2E2 Mortynight Run. I believe pinside shufffled the image sequence for me but the character in the background uses a Mr Meseeks to get a pinball high score.

This is a stab in the dark, but I've been following this thread since the beginning. My guess is they sold more than 20 Standard Editions and fewer than 50. Best of luck finding a spot, but I think all of us Standard Edition buyers knew we'd be in for a long wait so nobody's eager to move off their spot. Maybe once we get closer to the Standards getting built a couple folks will need to pivot and you'll be able to nab one.

Yea mine bounces after the diverter quite a bit lately. I need to tear it down and take a look but I have been having too much fun playing!

That looks amazing. Nice work. Wish there was a way to purchase a set from you. Whose flipper toppers did you get?
Updating to the latest code. Seems to be stuck on Performing a System Update please Wait screen. Been 15 min.
Anyone encountered this before?
Nevermind. Just took about 20 min this time. But it took the update.
I definitely recommend putting some bally Williams style legs on your game if you haven’t received it yet. IMO there is definitely an issue with the legs R&M comes with. They have an odd taper that causes the cabinet to rest on the leg and damages the decals I swapped mine out to some old legs I had lying around and they do not make contact. I have only had my game about a week. I did email spooky bit haven’t heard back yet. I just figured if I could prevent one more decal from tearing then I did a good thing. I added a comparison to the B/W leg I had laying around.

Very similar to the issue I had on the back legs for Dialed In. I just put two nylon washers between the inside leg and the metal standoff and that moved it out enough to stop the contact with the cabinet. Short of a leg redesign, a thicker metal standoff would also take care of this.
Quoted from gonzo73:No not me, the subwoofer was so loud and rattly , I assumed it was the shaker!

Not a biggie.
I'll contact my distributer.
Mayby Spookey will send me cheese puffs with my shaker!

Well if Spooky is sending cheese balls with all orders ....
I wanted to make sure the butter cabinet was protected so I bought a set of these from day one:

When I broke the game down it was still perfect under there.

Do you think these would work?
1602879787816923209301383583978 (resized).jpgI went with clear pinguards from PinballLife. https://www.pinballlife.com/pinguard-cabinet-protectors-set-of-4.html
Quoted from JohnDeere:Do you think these would work?[quoted image]
Thats the exact type that I just swapped in and they seem to do a good job of keeping the leg from touching the decal. I did notice that my front left leg was starting to bubble but luckily there was no tearing. I feel well protected now that I added the plastic leg protector to give the leg some needed room.

I wouldn't use that style. They are known to cause decal damage.
#242 here - and I too have decal damage around the front legs (can't easily inspect the back). This seems a bit crazy to me... is this a new problem with the recent run of machines??
Quoted from MikeS:I wouldn't use that style. They are known to cause decal damage.
Well they should be fine in this case so long as the metal guard under them prevents the plastic guard from hitting the decal at all.
Quoted from Waldo:Well crap. Maybe didn’t take it. [quoted image]
This happened to me. I posted it a few pages back. Make sure you're using a formatted FAT32 usb drive. I wasn't, I got the same screen you did.
Why do people have to make things more difficult then they have to be. Just add additonal metal leg protectors until the leg does not come in contact with the cab. It's better then pincabs and felt. I have been doing this since Transformers and typically just double them up on all my games just to be safe. I keep a few sets on hand that way if I bring home a new game I can add them at the time I put the legs on.
Quoted from ThePinballCo-op:Make sure you're using a formatted FAT32 usb drive.
Yes, if you are using a MAC, the procedure is very simple. Google is your friend (sometimes).

The game ships with metal protectors already in place and the issues still happened. So maybe instead of dismissing a clear issue, you could add something useful to the conversation. No one has time for know it alls who are contributed nothing to a conversation.

I think between this and the felt I may be able to prevent further damage. Thanks for the tip.

MeeThinks it is your usb stick. Buy a new one and I suggest getting one that is 16 Gigs. It will be already be formatted for FAT32 so DO NOT reformat. Your problem and the last thing to mention .... make sure it is USB 3.0 and not USB 2.0. The former works, the latter doesn’t. Good luck and report back.
Quoted from JustEverett:The game ships with metal protectors already in place and the issues still happened.
So do Stern's and as I mentioned before I have been doubling them up since they went to decals.
Quoted from JustEverett:So maybe instead of dismissing a clear issue, you could add something useful to the conversation.
I'm not dismissing anything and provided the same useful information yesterday about how these metal protectors are thin that it's a good idea to keep a few spare sets at home.

I'm not a know it all however I if I put a leg on a machine and it's touching the cabinet or is very close chances are it's going to rub and cause issues down the road. That's the reason I keep extra sets at home since you cannot count on the factory ones to always provide enough clearance from the cabinet.
It's unfortunate when you spend all this money on a new machine and have to do stuff like this. Stern switched to plastic brackets likely as cost savings however the added benefit is they are thicker then the metal ones. I feel bad for the newbies who never purchased NIB before and don't know any better.

????? No idea where this is coming from. ALWAYS format your stick before using it for anything, not just a pinball update. A USB 2 stick works just fine, it just takes an extra 12 seconds. Brands of sticks could sometimes be flaky. Never had too many problems with Sandisks, but kingstons have always been hit or miss.
Quoted from Jherre6:ALWAYS format your stick before using it for anything
But...it's so hard...
I got #245 today! It's great except I left it on for about 4 hours and during Pickle Rick mode + multiball it started to stutter and wouldn't respond to flippers or service buttons. Had to power cycle it. Build 2020-9-28 I think? I'm gonna download the latest code and see if that helps.

Speaking of pickle rick, that nice seems to be obtained through the portal. How do you trigger it though?

I don’t know how you qualify pickle Rick. I seem to see it more when I jump a few portals in a row. I did notice that if you hit the mystery shot when pickle rick is qualified, it will start it without having to hit the garage shot.
