It’s when you’ve got one ball locked and pass it to the other side of the ship by hitting the drop target it is behind. Cool animations from the ball fondlers and it also changes the side that your next ball will be locked.

We had the pop bumper nuts falling off too, I was puzzled by 3 washers and a lock nut that didn't have enough thread to grip the locking part of the nut. I removed some washers and it's all good now.

What method are people using for external subs for R&M? Just jumping it off of the sub in the cabinet?

I disconnected the cabinet speaker and ran wires to an old 10" pioneer sub from my car stereo days, in a 10" sealed enclosure off ebay. Cost me about £20 for the enclosure and the cables. Sounds great with none of the rattle you get from driving the cab speaker too hard.

Is your pioneer sub a powered sub? Was thinking about buying a Polk PSW10 off amazon.

alligator clips off of the cabinet speaker to an external sub. The easiest way to get rattle free bass from the game. If the cabinet had a box like TNA, then it would sound better. Without the box, it rattles the glass too much and the bass isn't clean. I toyed with building an enclosure, but I built it too tall, so I would have to trim it to make it shorter. Just haven't gotten around to modifying the box yet.

No, I have powered subs on all my other machines but in this case the amp is plenty powerful enough to drive a passive sub. An active sub will work well too, it's just that I already had a suitable speaker, just needed an enclosure for it.

I just updated to the September public release code and ran into a freeze up after restarting at the end of ball two. I know there is a way to get logs, but I'm not sure what the exact procedure is for it. Is it just to pop a thumb drive onto the board?

Also, I'm getting some bricking around the inner loop behind the car. Has anyone else run into this and fixed it?

If your looking at gameplay physical issues/changes. LOOK AT THE KEY POSTS IN THIS THREAD

Two things I recommend:

1. Do NOT use Super-bands in this game. My flipper rubbers were getting a bit worn down, so I ordered some Titans. In the meantime, I decided to put some extra super-bands in. They put too much weird spin on the ball, with all the orbits, it makes gameplay completely defective... I was getting orbits to the portal that would lose all momentum at the back, issues with the inner orbit. I'm using Titans and things flow as expected.

2. I have the right garage sorted out so it is so smooth, a clean fair shot to the garage will make it all the way up like butter. Here's what I did (similar to what was previously posted, but less of a reconstructive change...
-Remove the plastic over the family targets.
-Remove the three screws holding in the ball guide.
-Loosen the wood along the side (I unscrewed the bottom 4 under the playfield).
-fit the third screw under the wood.
-Screw the 1st and 2nd screws in, making sure you keep a smooth curve... No redrilling, it will work fine.
-For the bottom screw, I put a washer in between the top of the screw and the tab.
-You essentially want the first and second screws securing the ball guide, and the third under the wood slightly, maintaining a smooth curve.
-Note I did not remove the LED like others did.
-This is a similar adjustment like the inner orbit one.

Thanks I will try to update first. Really odd problem, the screen comes on and just goes to the specs of the PC inside pin. It has several options along the top but I can’t navigate to anything from inside the cabinet. Has a mouse cursor on screen with no way to navigate. That said I have not yet installed the pinballs but I don’t think that would make a difference.

Uhhhh yeah that's really weird that it goes right to the BIOS menu. I guess go to the hard drive tab and see if it shows up? And double check that the hard drive is connected? Should be right there in the backbox.

There sis a sticky tread here on the pcb/motherboard and bios battery. That will show you how to check battery and reset the motherboard with proper settings.
