Quoted from Elvishasleft:

Over time when the truth comes that game blows rush to sell it asap with "low plays" and tons of cool mods.

There are some pinball buyers that enjoy buying and modding games more than actually playing them, learning the strategy and nuance, etc. More power to them I guess? I'm not one of those.

Quoted from Shapeshifter:

R&M has some of the best call outs and animations of any pin, period!

And when you hear them start repeating after a couple hours of play, grating as hell.

Quoted from Shapeshifter:

R&M is though not for everyone as it's really tough.
A true players pin......

It wasn't the difficulty that put me off RM. It was the code. Within 2 hours you've seen literally everything the game has to offer...and at least when I had mine, you would have already had a lockup and reboot.

Also the jank-ass flippers which I understand are finally fixed.

Quoted from Shapeshifter:

And that is the problem rating games that aren't finished, and we all do it, because games take so long to completion.

Yeah but I didn't pay over 9K to test a preproduction game.

Quoted from bobukcat:

Apparently you did, actually.

Not a mistake I'll repeat!

Quoted from Goronic:

Same, it sounds like a lot of people have had issues with JJP support, but for me it had been fantastic. Don’t know what the hell to think.

When in doubt, ignore Pinside.

Quoted from Zitt:

Pinside is a true representation of reality...

If this cesspool is reality, the world is a lot worse off than I thought.

Quoted from JodyG:

PinDerek, why are you even here then? Take your holier than thou condescending posts back to Facebook if this place is so horrible.
You won't be missed.

Kinda proving the point there.

This community has some of the most negative toxic people on the internet, peppered with the occasional awesome person.

Quoted from DakotaMike:

Maybe just go to the positive threads? Plenty of positive people in owners threads, tech threads, and rumored game threads. Pinside is what you make it: hang out in the worst threads, you'll run across the worst people.

Fair point!

I like the threads where people are helping people. I try to give back when I can.

Quoted from JohnTTwo:

Truth when it comes to actual playing a game for game advice, fixing, setting up a game Zaphx is the most helpful person on this site for me with LTG a close second. I see all the down votes he gets and feel bad for him. But this is our world I guess

Oh I have to say LTG is way WAY more helpful. In fact easily half the troubleshooting tips I pass on were ones I learned from his posts. He is a treasure.

And don't feel bad for me, I appreciate the sentiment but

Quoted from LTG:

Thank you for the kind words my friend.
Actually today I'm gone.
I'll miss helping on JJP games. Was for 8 3/4 years.
LTG : (

Oh man! What a huge loss for the JJP community. Thank you for everything you've done.

Quoted from Jecco74:

I own most JJP pins... That said I am out on Toy Story and future pins until they prove they produce a quality product with great customer service and support.
Who else can say this?
Or are you going to cave when they release their next pin?

More for the rest of us!

Quoted from Goronic:

Most owners would ditch the pin if it starts to chip all to hell. Regardless of how good the pin is.

That's a pretty broad generalization.

Some folks are about the appearance of their pins, and some are about playing them.

Quoted from hiker2099:

I understand what people are saying and they are all legitimate reasons. However, if JJP has made thousands and thousands of bad playfields, how has not one person sued them. People sue for loses all the time.

*losses. Different word.

And it's probably because these are toys for enjoyment not cars or medical devices. And there's a reasonable remediation in the playfield offer.

LOL, says the guy that's been here less than a year with over 1,000 posts

Don't gatekeep.

I got the same shit when I joined in 2017, excited about my Star Wars.

Quoted from pinballaddicted:

I am pissed at the quality of our game. I have friends with the game and their games are great. Lucky I played one before ours came so I knew what to expect. I have been slowly working through all the issues. I do love the game. I cannot see it going anywhere soon.

If you need help with specific tweaks / fixes we have fairly active chatter in the GNR owner's thread. I'll certainly help if I can.
