Quoted from Hammerhead:OP should change the title of this thread to "Pile on JJP"
Well it's starting on many threads and spreading by day. JJP had fun, seems liek their bubble might be....
Quoted from Bendit:My Hobbit is rock solid, reliable and beautiful.
Did you buy it recently? Because that seems to be the problem if you haven't figured that out.
Quoted from JayDee:Geez, I would think they would of sent it out free of charge with a return label to send the bad one back.
That's not what happened with my JJP board return either. I just assumed they have a lot of blown boards with mod craziness these days
Quoted from FlippyD:Then they are like "Hey we got this new web store!" And it's basically a factory flea market with a bunch of garbage and crap they should just dumpster. Oh boy you found manuals from four years ago!...
Yeah I been getting those emails I took them as sort of desperate?
Quoted from Bublehead:...But maybe Pat can talk them into it for Toy Story?
They couldn't even talk each other into including cliffys on DI during "the good times."
Quoted from romulusx:I received both packs of protectors.
First JJP’s too thick and then they sent me out a complete set of Cliffys quality pieces.
Yes that's the issue. They should have been on the game @ launch...plus the whole home made cliffy thing was embarrassing.
Quoted from Elvishasleft:Buy a machine you never played based on hype and 3 pictures... get it home and realize you dont like it
...
Forgot ordering $600 if mods before the game is even in your possession.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:I kind of get it when its your first game...when I got my first (and only, I swear!)...
Absolutely; My TZ still has French Whore stuff on it.
Quoted from YeOldPinPlayer:Regarding lock bars... anyone like lockbar latch design changes?
I kind of do; 1 clasp is pretty quick.
I also don't mind the power switch because I don't have tiny T-rex arms or too obese to bend my body
Quoted from Puffdanny:Why you got to make it personal bro?
Oh I'm so sorry I didn't know you couldn't reach the switch!
Quoted from Mechulus:... I'm not deterred from looking at a JJP product because of one person's bad experience.
Few; luckily its just one person then.
Quoted from romulusx:Anything positive you can say about JJP pins?
Yeah I own one and its pretty damn great.
I mean after all the fixing I had to do to fix their fuck-ups
nope on both.
Quoted from porkcarrot:The SIM card shot really isn’t bad if you take the cliffy off and enjoy the machine as a toy and not a pristine collectors item.
Actually it is, and I have never had a Cliffy on it.
The sim card shot is terrible, it is what it is. Removing a post rubber, or post may help it. Flipper power change not really.
As I always say; Post a pic of of your "sim card shots per game" audits from you game and lets see what it is. Remember, you gotta nail 8, maybe 9 that are lit for wizard....but let's just see an average game of yours.
Quoted from Zablon:For a game that 'no one likes' it has held its value well. I've played it a few times and want one.
Huh? It's dropped in value more than any game I own. $8K Standard NIB.
Quoted from ralphs007:The quality of my Dialed In was top notch. The playfield was beautiful, with no chipping,or any other problems.
The problem is they didn't have scoop protectors when they were first released; and the clear started chipping on them day 1.
Then they invented their own half-assed Cliffy knockoffs that were horrible, then finally got real ones.
This was talked aboot quite a bit, along with some other issues, but JJP had already blinded people with "JJP QUALITY" so everyone gave them a pass. I mean it wasn't the end of the world by any means, but there have always been signs.
Quoted from Vespula:Fwiw, this has played out already at least once before and the result of the last time zaphX left pinside...
Good times indeed.
Clear out all the bots.
Quoted from zaphX:If this cesspool is reality, the world is a lot worse off than I thought.
Quoted from zaphX:This community has some of the most negative toxic people on the internet,
If you think people shit talking pinball machines is the worst thing on the internet, you either have no concept of reality, or more JJP-whipped than we thought
For the new yeari thought I'd remind everyone, including mods, that Odin was banned from not only multiple threads but entire topics for much less than this.
Quoted from Jecco74:Or are you going to cave when they release their next pin?
Thats usually the way it works round here
Quoted from CrazyLevi:How exactly would that work?
Weirdly the way a lot of them work these days, they send a young dipsgit to your house and they either read the text support from their company, or they call the tech guy from the company.
Super frustrating.
Edit: i mean haven't you guys noticed a lot of tech questions on Pinside coming from people that seem to ve in the business of pinball repair?
Quoted from Colehvac1:...I guess non refundable deposits keep the buyers in line.
I think that's Spooky, not JJP?
Quoted from Tranquilize:It takes years of practice to achieve Zaphx-level JJP troll status...
No dog in the fight but technically he's a shill, not a troll.
Quoted from EricHadley:Mikey like pinball. Mikey like JJP. Mikey like Stern. Mikey hugs pinball machines
Wake up Mikey you gotta pick a damn side these days!
Quoted from zaphX:[quoted image]
Well you just aren't...That's more Panzer's deal.
Quoted from Vespula:I think you may need to moderate yourself. Be nice!
Shill is much better than a troll; so it was being nice.
So don't be such a tool.
Quoted from Vespula:Its clear if you moderated youself you would have nothing to say.
Wow, sick burn.
Quoted from Vespula:10 years on pinside - such a waste of a life.
is that better?
It's a good try but it just shows you haven't been on Pinside for 10 years. I mean; if you can even call that a life. tsk tsk.
Quoted from Vespula:If you are the result of spending 10 years here, I am heading for the door!
Well V, you'll likely get sick of people's shit a lot quicker than we did, as Pinside is filled with a lot more fucktards than it was 10 years ago.
But you wont be such a newb player and you'll have more games and respect for pinball companies in general; not just picking a side and sticking with it. Like anything else there are good & bad parts.
Quoted from Vespula:... Not sure why you knew this and at the same time choose it? ...Any wisdom to share on that before I go?
Naw most of the whiny people don't stay too long so it's a just a bump in the road. Theres tons of great info & people on Pinside; just gotta wait out the trash.
