I doubt you'll see that simply because of the cost to maintain such a warranty and finding qualified installers and all of that. You're not going to get an extended warranty where the customer is responsible for the installation of the defective part and good luck finding enough qualified technicians nationwide to handle that for them. Right now they can skirt by with how they do it because the customer isn't paying "extra" (I mean they are but it's baked into the MSRP) for a qualified technical to swap parts. If I'm Stern for instance, I'm quite happy with this current arrangement.
