Quoted from Palmer:Probably going to get a bunch of downvotes for this but I don't think the playfield chipping is the only reason for the sell offs. GnR isn't as fun to play as it is made out to be. It's weird because there are parts of the game that are quite impressive. Some games are better than the sum of all of it's parts (music, art, playfield design, etc). GnR is sort of the opposite. And I am saying this as someone who owned an SE and played the LE a bunch of times. I really wanted to like GnR but in the end, I traded it away.
I wanted to love GnR but it just isn't coded in a way that has me coming back for more.
There are epic moments with Live and Let Die etc, but overall it's too much of a grind.
Do stuff again and again to start a song, and then collect a ton of patches to ramp up song jackpot.
If you like lots of thinking, strategy and slow build up's, then I get why it's a game for a lot of people.
Quoted from Skyemont:To me Iron Maiden is boring. Glad there are different pins to choose from.
Everybody likes different games for sure.
Very different games, and very different speeds!!!
Quoted from MrBally:Will anyone at the show discuss the great service they receive with this guy?

I think Jack may go into this mode when dreaded playfield questions arise.
depositphotos_28934625-stock-illustration-cartoon-three-monkeys (resized).jpgQuoted from screaminr:All jjp pins now have free scorbit ( for life ) and everything that entails .
Their last 3 games also have a built-in camera , so hopefully you'll be able to see your opposition if you play online .
Stern will have online leaderboards and also trophies for completing certain tasks and my gut feeling is you'll have to pay for that service .
Hopefully it will be for free , like jjp .
Probably they will copy other subscription models.
Free initially.
Then low cost monthly.
Once user base established, jack up the prices for new ongoing revenue stream!
Quoted from screaminr:They have it in writing that the scorebit is free for life .
I guess we'll just have to wait and see .[quoted image]
Oh, I was talking about Stern's online gaming system.
Guessing/speculating.
Quoted from knobstone:So Jack mentions on the Pinball Magazine pinball podcast and I quote "customers possibly may have done something to the playfield to cause damage." This hobby is so entertaining and laughable. Once again, no accountability and now customers have to purchase another playfield for $500.00 if they want to replace that quality controlled Mirco playfield.
Enjoy that playfield swap.
It's parallel universe time!
Quoted from Hazoff:In other words a Spooky pin.
R&M has some of the best call outs and animations of any pin, period!
Quoted from zaphX:And when you hear them start repeating after a couple hours of play, grating as hell.
R&M is though not for everyone as it's really tough.
A true players pin......
Quoted from zaphX:It wasn't the difficulty that put me off RM. It was the code. Within 2 hours you've seen literally everything the game has to offer...and at least when I had mine, you would have already had a lockup and reboot.
Also the jank-ass flippers which I understand are finally fixed.
And that is the problem rating games that aren't finished, and we all do it, because games take so long to completion.
I played R&M with the bad flippers and it was poor.
Played again with flippers fixed - different game.
Moonmen added - up another notch.
More modes/wizard maybe? To be added maybe?
I think if that happens, it will go down as a classic.
Same with KISS - average until finally after 3 years it got the final update!
Quoted from zaphX:Yeah but I didn't pay over 9K to test a preproduction game.
Isn't every early owner essentially testing games these days?
I hear it's the same with GnR ( p/f ) and LZ ( em mech ).
