Quoted from TheLaw:

It's a good try but it just shows you haven't been on Pinside for 10 years. I mean; if you can even call that a life. tsk tsk.

If you are the result of spending 10 years here, I am heading for the door!

Well V, you'll likely get sick of people's shit a lot quicker than we did, as Pinside is filled with a lot more fucktards than it was 10 years ago.
But you wont be such a newb player and you'll have more games and respect for pinball companies in general; not just picking a side and sticking with it. Like anything else there are good & bad parts.

10 years on pinside - such a waste of a life.
is that better?

LOL, says the guy that's been here less than a year with over 1,000 posts

For context, I joined once I learned of this place, after I placed my deposit on my GNR order to discuss and participate and learn on the owners thread during my 11 month wait for the GOAT <intentional stick poked in the bears ass> --
I am a short timer here. Growing old with all the veteran AARP "fucktards" on this thread is a laughable notion at best.

Don't gatekeep.

I got the same shit when I joined in 2017, excited about my Star Wars.

I've got a later Run game and so far the play Playfield is perfect , but the thing that really impresses me is the lack of dimpling , there are dimples , but they are so tiny you really have to look for them .
If I do get any pooling or chipping , everyone here will be the first to know .

Vespula is doing fine sticking up for himself .
But I think the mods were having fun with him for banning him for a day

Just strolling back in to let you know I am seeing you are right. Not sure why you knew this and at the same time choose it? Seems generally masochistic. Is your time here enhancing or better than the rest of your life? Any wisdom to share on that before I go? No shade, generally interested and asking for your opinion.

Looks like you are experiencing the common Pinside Reverse Stages of
Grieving. New Pinsider: acceptance. Later...bargaining, then after reading more posts: denial. Finally, anger, I can't take it anymore! Don't worry about it, people are people. Pinside has more ocd than many other hobbies, and the misery level is definitely growing with more money coming into a niche hobby, higher expectations for new games, more competition to get them, and the addict's need for the next hit. Dial it back and you will be happier.

Back on the subject, my GnR playfield looks nice, but I haven't really spent a lot of time with it under the microscope this round. I'd take it over the GZLE wood grain that I launched to a friend. And, the support has been excellent lately.

Naw most of the whiny people don't stay too long so it's a just a bump in the road. Theres tons of great info & people on Pinside; just gotta wait out the trash.

Yes, PRSG sounds like an accurate diagnosis. Appreciate you sharing your perspective.

Thumbs up. Thanks.

I've decided this site and trash population isn't worth what you guys have described. It's served my purpose while I waiting for my GNR, and has ceased to be useful. More playing for me, less trash.

some peoples trash is another's treasure.

While I didn't see any chipping or pooling (yay!) on a nearby Godzilla premium playfield, the clear seems very thin and the inserts don't look flush (they look indented). ALL 6 of my JJP playfields look better. So, from my perspective, JJP have 600% better playfields than Stern.

Send some pictures of the playfield with the flaking issues. Thank you!

Now you’ve done it. Why don’t you poke the trolls with a stick while you’re at it

A bunch of us had legitimate defective playfields. Because i was vocal about the shit treatment I received from JJP and shared my defects to warn others doesn’t make me a troll. JJP has probably warned Barry E not to share the truth with us because it would probably destroy what little integrity JJP has Left with the collector community. A small blemish doesn’t bother me at all i have a collection of 40 games, some were nib, some were huo, some were on location, all have blemishes. Its not good business to sell a product with a known defect and then tell the customer that the defect is perfectly acceptable and they are being too picky. JJP could make this all go away, produce the next game, get them to the customers and then we’ll see if its business as usual or products improved, i for one wont be spending my money with them to find out.

If you want to look at it that way.. Our 11 Sterns all have way better playfields than our GunnersLE. So from my perspective Stern playfields are 1100% better than Mirco JJP playfields.

All jokes aside, when you first get a JJP, the playfield looks amazing. It is all downhill after that unfortunately. Lucky there are so many good people on Pinside that have come up with good solutions for a not so good product. It is like a beauty salon... Hair dryers, clear coats, plastic substitutes. Embarrassing to say the least.

I am pissed at the quality of our game. I have friends with the game and their games are great. Lucky I played one before ours came so I knew what to expect. I have been slowly working through all the issues. I do love the game. I cannot see it going anywhere soon.

If you need help with specific tweaks / fixes we have fairly active chatter in the GNR owner's thread. I'll certainly help if I can.

I am on there too. Thanks very much for the offer, I really appreciate it. I only have the spot lights and the sensors left to fix. There is plenty of info already on the thread so I am well on my way!
