Gen X ran through 1979.
Gen Y is 1980+
Damn, I had to count... born in 1964, it's now 2012 but not yet June, OK I'm 47. Whew... that took some effort.
I stopped paying attention to birthdays once I could drink
Im 45 but have no kids....so I feel like Im still 24. Act like Im 19. Could someone buy me some beer??
Quoted from Silverballer:Could someone buy me some beer??
you have one in the bank for TX pin fest
Quoted from Kane:Damn, I had to count... born in 1964, it's now 2012 but not yet June, OK I'm 47. Whew... that took some effort.

I had to do the same thing and I'm 36. I constantly forget how old I am.
Quoted from way2wyrd:you have one in the bank for TX pin fest
Thats right way2wyrd. I had doubts last week if i would make it this year but its gonna happen. Keep the lights on for me down in Texas!
30-40 Yr Olds are the biggest group. Easy to see. They were around the height of the last great arcade boom
I'm 36, and at the time I post this, I'm over the average "hill" here as it were. Wow, does that mean I'm getting old?
Quoted from Rascal_H:I had to do the same thing and I'm 36. I constantly forget how old I am.
Yea me too I was at an event on vacation in December and lady asked my age. It took me a while to think of it and she was shocked. I was like listen lady I'm obviously over 21 what is with the 20 questions I just want to get a beverage in my hand ASAP.
Quoted from kwiKimart:I am currently 20 years old. Probably the youngest on Pinside.
19 and 3 months here. not quite the youngest!
Quoted from SunKing:Espo66 said:I was a Junior in HS in 1983!
I graduated HS that year. ...sux getting old.
1981 here to graduate High School. I am older than you!
Not happy about it though...getting old is a bummer. Comparing the aches and pains I have now daily to when I was even 30-35 years old is like night and day & day! Amazing.
Double nickels chronologically. Mentally? About 15 or 16, as evidenced by my fascination with pins and sports cars. I guess that my tastes haven't much has changed in 40 years, haha. At least THAT hasn't, anyway.
Quoted from Espo66:One thing that stands out about pinside, seems like there is a lot of new blood coming into the hobby. I think that is awesome. I does make me feel old when I see a handle with 83 on the end. I was a Junior in HS in 1983!
Also, having read the pinball popularity thread, it got me thinking that this younger generation will find pinball wether pre-disposed to it at a young age or not...probably and ironically from video games.
So, how old are you?
I'm 45
Only 13% of respondents thus far are younger than 30. Not enough new blood.
Quoted from The_Dude_Abides:I was like listen lady I'm obviously over 21 what is with the 20 questions I just want to get a beverage in my hand ASAP.
Haha!
Don't worry TDA, I think you still can pass for College at least!
You could have always went with: "I'm sorry your stepmother is a nympho."
Classic stuff!
GULP! I'm . . . 64 . . . .
BUT . . . I still act like a teenager!!! Ask Sealclubber!!!
Mike in Kentucky
27 here and definitely the youngest in my area. I have been welcomed in and learned a lot from other collectors, including fellow pinsider DougPiranah. This website is awesome for the hobby!

Hahaa, college wow I'll take it man. Going that route would have been hilarious but probably would of resulted in a slap, maybe worth it though..There was a beverage involved and it was not in my hand so I was starting to get a little irritated.
At least you would have been given your drink! (In the face!)
Next time TDA, I'll run the interference for you.
28. Another one of those lazy, good-for-nothing Millennials
Born in '83. Just in time for the tail end of Atari and the Pac-Man/etc. era, and the evolution of arcade games and home consoles from then to today. Pretty cool to watch gaming grow up along with me.
Bump for new Pinsiders joined up in the last year or so.
Hopefully there is at least a few more younger ones here now.
I'm no help, ...51 yrs old. Dang it, guess I'm gonna have to grow up soon.
64.5. Hey, I'm one of the oldest SoBs on here! Who cares, everything still works 100% with no credit dots.. You are as young as you feel man!!
Thought I just might have been near the middle of the chart for this hobby...... but no, I'm old..... 46 in a couple months.
What happened to the OP ? He uploaded 666 images to the Pinside and has not been around since November 2012.
Quoted from the_pin_family:+1, I love this site but i dont think the search works so well.
+2...it's pretty busted.
Well I guess the screen name gives a pretty good hint. I'll be celebrating the 30th anniversary of my 25th birthday in February. Guess that puts me in the final category.
Could one of you mods add a category for "DEAD", so I can at least be in the next to the last category?
Hmmmm, this poll shows not a lot of new blood in hobby. The biggest age groups are people who could have grown up with arcades. Or maybe it's because this is such an expensive hobby.
I am 36-but feel older- I have toured with Grateful Dead and seen 28 shows with Jerry. Started touring in high school-so I feel like part of the older crowd.
Quoted from Anim8ormatt:32. close to 33.
+1, Had to start shaving my ears a couple years ago.
