Quoted from jamespin:

Umm... really guys? You actually believe you are buying a legit pin? Sometimes we want to believe something so bad we overlook all of the red flags. So, someone name one legit thing about this ad someone can hang their hat on?
Is it...
The too good to be true price?
Could it be the how its priced with shipping?
Maybe its the quilt shop that has been and really could be a distributor that got caught holding too much nib pins and needs to blow them out?
its priced the way it is because its a scam in motion. If they send you anything they will claim you entitled to a full refund less shipping. Not sure how they plan to make this work and maybe hoped some would pay with some form that provides no protection.
When have you ever even seen a quilt shop? China or the Philippines?
Damn, I hope I am wrong here or at least no one gets taken for money.

I bought a stern batman from sears through the bing program and it was slightly under 2900 delivered - so these deals are legit some times.

thanks ed

Which version of Batman? Did it have coin slots in the door?

the real version - same one everybody owns - it was through the bing program - the thread is on rgp - I wasn't the only one who grabbed them. thanks ed

Oh, then maybe I'm just totally talking out my bum and should be quiet. Lol.
Hope it all goes smooth for us Ed! Or we're gonna have to go gangster.

what happens when you click that link - thanks ed

I have never even played avengers - I do have a friend who tells me once you dial it in it is an awesome challenging game. at 3100 I just thought it was a great price and I can trade it, sell it, open it and enjoy it. I have three options there and one should work.

thanks ed

I hit the link again and it says I already bought this item - I then click the order and have to type in the password - then from there it say the quilt company - it doesn't say liquidationboss - my mistake - thanks ed

Quoted from UKCatsFan76:

I am just posting to follow this to see how it plays out, I almost pulled the trigger, but honestly Avengers isn't worth $3300 to me

I don't think I would have done 3300 either - 3120 or whatever it was it just seem like it was safe to recoup my money if I don't like it - or as I stated above I could trade it, or maybe even flip it for a little more

thanks ed

okay i got the same dam email saying cancelled - oh well - it was worth a try - thanks ed

Quoted from John_in_NC:

So you think it was a typo or they realized they were giving them away?

i persoannly think amazon stepped in because of the shipping price - these games will be sold a different way - somebody has the inventory to unload - and now they know what price is good to have them go quick.

there have been other situations where companies had pin inventory to unload and they did not want to let people know they reduced prices because then people knew they sold them for a lower price

a good example - town and country snowmobile in new hampshire used to always have a buy 2 snowmobiles and get the third free - yes it was exactly as i stated

so we waited and did this deal twice - what a great deal it was - the last time i did it i sold two of them and kept the third for peanuts

well they realized people were always waiting for the buy 2 get one free and they haven't had it for a few years now

so i'm sure they still blow snowmobiles out - but they do it where people don't know anymore

thanks ed
